Over excessive amount of traffic coming in and out 24/7. I would consider putting all long term campers to the front and short term in the back so you don’t hear the vehicles of the workers all night long.

This past weekend was our first time at Tucker Lake and honestly was a little nervous about how much fun we would have with the amount of rules they have (I think most of the rules are a liability thing) but... WE LOVED IT! We will definitely be back for many many years to come. The staff is sooo nice! The Lake is a ton of fun and the campground is very clean and nice. See you guys soon!

Campground Response

Still building, but the lack of large trees makes it hot in combination with the gravel poured everywhere, I was questioning the trip. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful, it is nice to be able to stay at the lake and not have to make a drive home the same day. They cut the lake fee in half if you are camping, but I feel it should be rolled into the camping fee and give you wristbands or a ticket to get into the water without paying more. I would stay again if the family wanted to go again.

We stayed at Tucker Lake RV Campground on 10/18/19. Our 5-star rating is because of the helpfulness of the owner/manager. She allowed us to check out an hour later so that we could spend more time with my cousin who just lost her father and is fighting cancer. And when we were ready to leave and discovered that we had lost one of the pins that connects our tow bar to our toad, she got in her car and went to find us a replacement!! That was above and beyond the call of duty! Assistance like that is a rare and wonderful thing. We had no problems finding the campground; our GPS took us right there. We didn't have any problems with anything. Staying there worked out great for us.

First, I'm not exactly sure why someone would complain about the roads being too narrow as if it were the owners' fault. Nevertheless, the roads here are fine and no more narrower than your usual roads, in fact, it's actually pretty easy to get in and out of compared to a lot of campgrounds I've stayed at. As for the rates, they are comparable to the rates of other campgrounds in the area, and certainly pretty cheap if you going to stay in the area for a month or more. As for the staff, the ladies here are fantastic, you couldn't ask for nicer folks, but yes, they don't put up with the kinds of nonsense you're going to find at other campgrounds, most especially state campgrounds. They are in the process of upgrading their property and putting in more sites as well as 100 amp service, and they do a great job taking care of their facilities, again, especially compared to other campgrounds, but most especially state campgrounds. I have absolutely no problem with giving them 5 stars, and certainly no problem recommending them as a great place to stay at, in fact, they are now my go-to campgrounds when I'm in that part of North Carolina.

Don’t ever go.Full hook up is all there is. Water connection is very difficult to use. Showers-leave camp by car to find. Roads too narrow.$60. Is a major rip off. So is the 15% reservation fee charged by roverpass.
