Overview

The Trailhead equestrian Campground, popular among horseback riders across Texas, is located in Bandera - it's a great place for an authentic southern vacation. Near the campground are a number of unique, local attractions such as the Bandera City Park, Frontier Times Museum and Bandera Natural History Museum. Nature-lovers flock to this area each year to enjoy the Hill Country State Natural Area for scenic viewing, hiking, biking and exploring. Campers can also visit the Dixie Dude and Silver Spur Ranches, as well as wildlife tours. Canoeing and kayaking at nearby rivers is also a common pastime among locals and visitors alike.
