Thorntree Lake RV Park

We have stayed here several times and the owners are very nice. The campground has some full hookup sites that are right along a very well stocked spring fed lake. The last time we stayed in July, they have let workers who work at the horse racetrack/casino near Shelbyville Indiana stay there. They have all the full hook up sites and are very rude to other campers. They act like they own the place. My grandson came to visit for the day and I overheard one of the other campers say "I sure don't want to hear that kid over there all the time." and pointed to us. One had two dogs on one of those extending leashes and they came running towards my grandson, age 4, and almost reached him except the owner pulled back on the leash. The owners cannot monitor what the campers say but they did speak to the woman about her dogs. I realize these work campers are their lively hood but it does make a very nice RV park not so welcoming. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
