Tarry Ho Campground

The location alone gives this campground some hope. The campground is located in the beautiful White Mountains and right down the road from the historic Mount Washington Hotel and Cog Railroad. The campground is right on the Ammonoosuc River. I should mention that this campground is under new management and the new owners had the campground for 1 year. It appears that some of the buildings have been renovated, but there are still items that could be done in the short term to make it a little more attractive.Our rate of 22.00/night reflects a 2 nights for the price of 1 on Coutopia. Making the reservation with the coupon was a little confusing as the staff did not know how to apply the funds. It took a few phone calls and speaking with the owner directly in order to make the reservation. Once at the campground we requested to change our site as it was along a busy Route 302. They were very accommodating and allowed us to walk the campground and then change our site. Our site was full hook-up with 30 amp on a level grass site. The pedestal was easily accessible, the electricity was good and the water pressure was sufficient. The campground has a pool and river access which made it very nice for the hot days in July.
