This is a tiny park, very hard to maneuver in. My husband and I pulled in with our trailer on our way to the mountains hoping to fill our water for a fee. We’ve found that many RV Parks offer this service, usually $20. We were unable to locate the manger so started to fill the tank expecting to pay after. The manager found us and and was so angry! We apologized profusely and offered to pay money as was intended but he refused and threatened to call the cops on us for trespassing. He was scary angry and saying very rude things despite us trying to be as nice and apologetic as possible. You couldn’t pay me to stay anywhere near this manager.

Our son graduated UCSB and we used chose SB Sunrise RV as it was the closest camping facility to the campus. I can not express how perfect this location and experience was for us, and the four other family members who camped in the same location. First my rig is 34'9" long. Although the park is relatively small (that's a good thing) the spaces are large, accommodating, and clean. I have attached a photo to show how spacious our spot (#2) was. The first night we took an UBER from the campground to downtown for dinner and drinks. The UBER ride was about $7.00 each way. It was quick and easy. Downtown Santa Barbara is beautiful with plenty to see, eat, and drink. Another night we held a dinner time graduation party for my son, his girlfriend (she also graduated), and all of our family members. We reserved space #23 to afford us plenty of room and to be clear of other's campsites. It was PERFECT! The managers took extra effort to clean the space and put extra picnic tables at the location in preparation for our party. Completely a success! I have seen many complaints on this thread reference traffic noise from the US-101. There is definitely traffic noise but we frequently camp at beaches and in the desert. At the beach the surf noise is about the same. In the desert, the off road toy noise is MUCH louder. So, I would say, you just need to be realistic about the fact you are in a camper and it is near a freeway. And finally, the managers are as good as they get. They greet everyone and make sure your experience is as good as possible. They helped me back in my rig to the spot saving us from the typical marital argument (haha). They made sure all of my equipment was of correct size as they have some adapters to help you if you come up short with your sewage tube. Again, I was very pleased and would strongly recommend this location for any camping adventure if you are in Santa Barbara.

I'd never been to a campsite on a beachfront before this one and really loved it! Apparently this is the only park along the coastline and not only are there several beaches for peaceful escapes or light surfing, but also nearby trails for hiking. If you plan on hiking, I'd suggest visiting Santa Barbara Hikes online to find local hiking groups and get the most out of your journey. That's what I did, and I found some awesome inclines overlooking spectacular views. I also did some scuba diving and a few hours of whale watching; I didn't see any whales, but did see some really pretty fish while diving. I'd highly recommend that! The RV sites are all pretty modern and polished. They're all full hookup which is great. Normally I have to fight to make a reservation early to get a full site, but this one was no problem. There's other amenities nearby like convenience stores and RV storage lots which I've used a few times on return trips. I'm going back this year for sure. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
