St Mary Lake

Overview

The St. Mary Lake is the eastern gateway of the Glacier National Park. Look forward to an excellent and pristine natural terrain where mountains, prairies and forests all converge to create a rich and diverse ecosystem. Look forward to a thriving wildlife environment with plenty of elk, deer and moose, as well as small, curious creatures for wildlife viewing. And of course, fishing is highly popular at this campsite. Campers can also look forward to hiking, picnicking, boating tours and Ranger-led outdoor activities. 

The St. Mary campground is located near a number of conveniences such as restaurants, gift shops, campsite stores, gas and a grocery store, so don't worry if you forget to bring something with you. Call ahead to see if RV camping is permitted during your intended trip because due to intermittent construction, sometimes only tent camping is allowed.
