A surprisingly low key, pretty place. Very quiet with lots of trees (in Nevada!) and a creek running along the back. Everything worked, our site was level and the bathroom/showers were clean. The one man working in the office was helpful and accessible. Huge bonus- the wild burros that walked out of the creek and across our site one evening! We’d definitely stay again.

5 Stars for the fast and friendly check in. The property is along side the highway. It mostly a place to safely park your RV. The laundry room was clean and the grounds were clean. Very good value for the price we paid to stay one night. I give it three stars for the property. I would stay here again.

After arriving at the space station. I looked over the spot they rented me. No way my 37 foot toy hauler and truck would fit. Plus I have a razor. They sold me a slot too small for what I had I should get a refund I ended up staying somewhere else.

Campground Response

Upon looking at your reservation, you gave a total length of 37ft. when you reserved and were placed in a 60ft. spot by the manager. When you arrived, you were towing with a truck that adds 20ft. and also had a trailer with a razor that you failed to mention in the reservation. Even with the length, you still would have fit. Glad you had a "plan B". It seemed from the start that you had alternative plans and just wanted to get out of your reservation. You could have just asked instead of giving a one star review.

Small but clean. Nice long site, we stayed hooked up as we just did an overnight stay. Easy in and out. Would definitely stay here again.

Space Station is right on Hwy 95 and has big rig traffic most days, so it is particularly noisy. Still, it is at 3300 foot elevation so it is cooler than camping in most places in Death Valley. It advertises a “market” on the premises that sells beer etc. but it was not open, nor did it look like it was going to be open soon. If you need your propane tanks filled—the manager is only in the office from 1pm-9pm. Don’t wait until the day you are departing (at noon) to refill. The facilities include a shower, bathrooms and laundry. WiFi is spotty to non-existent. Still, this little park makes a good base camp for exploring the area. Easy pull in and out. Cottonwood trees provide some shade. Very reasonably priced at $27/night.
