The park was fine with clean and level spots. The man who checked me in was very friendly, and as in interesting side note he carries what looks to be a 10" blade on his side. The bathroom was clean, the water pressure in both the men's and women's shower was not good at all. Laundry room was clean. This is a decent small park, and it's certainly economical. But, one of the residents who appears to be full-time and possibly an employee or at least a helper has a confederate flag displayed in plain sight in the window of his rig with "The South Will Rise Again", and one on his truck. This is not ok. That flag is a symbol of racism, it is not heritage or tradition. It is a racist symbol that alienates a large portion of Americans by glorifying a past where black Americans were enslaved and oppressed. I can't imagine people of color feeling welcome in that park, and I cannot support any park that allows it to be on display. Allowing that is endorsing it.

Good location for a one-nite stopover. Road noise can be a problem even in the back of the campground. Only 1 bathroom per sex which have a hot but pressure-less shower. They were not busy when we were there. Good Wifi and cell service. Great campground manager. Very helpful. We've stayed twice and would stay there again if headed that way.

Our stay at Space Station met our needs! A well maintained park. TJ works hard and does a great job. Convenient to restaurants and casino. Nice visitors center. We used as base camp for visit to Death Valley NP.

The only reason I am giving only 4 stars is the 30 amps.

felt like I was parked with cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation. only 30 amp had to run generator to cool down the rig. was there in August. people were friendly and rent was cheap

Campground Response

Cousin Eddie challenges anyone to find 50 Amp service for $25.00 a night!

For RV campers visiting Death Valley, Beatty is the closest place to camp, other than in the National Park, which is HOT this time of year. Pahrump has many more and fancier facilities, but it's much farther away from the park. Space Station isn't fancy but it's certainly adequate. Hookups worked fine and WiFi, which I found very slow two years ago, was much better this time (October 2020). It handled a Zoom meeting with no problem at all. So why did I only rate the park a 3? Traffic noise. The bed end of my RV was about 25 feet from U.S. Highway 95. Since it's a downtown street with a speed limit of 25 mph, traffic is quieter than at another campground a little bit north of Beatty. But US-95 probably runs 100 trucks an hour (my estimate), day and night, and a big rig accelerating from a stop two blocks down the road is noisy! I could not sleep without earplugs. Next time, I'll try to remember to ask for a campsite as far away from the street as possible. I must say the folks that run the park were most helpful to me two years ago. I ran out of propane after the store closed, and the fellow was nice enough to come over and sell me some so I could cook dinner. Much appreciated!

Beatty isn't a large town but Space Station is the most impressive rv park I've stayed at during our 7-day trip. The site is quiet. The bathroom is great. T.J. is an extremely friendly and helpful cool guy. We planned to stay at Space Station for only 1 night and then leave for Death Valley, but we couldn't reserve at the rv park in the National Park that day. On the morning of departure, we suddenly realized we might not have a spot to stay and what's worse, all the rv parks in and near Beatty had been full. Then T.J. told us if we couldn't find a place eventually, he could offer us a small spot in Space Station, a place he parked his own vehicle; if we didn't need to come back to Beatty, we just gave him a call. We were so thankful to him at that moment! I highly recommend Space Station as a peaceful stop in your trip.

We needed an overnight stay while traveling from Tahoe region to AZ. Reserved a spot online. Easy, friendly check-in at the location. Level spot. All the hook-ups. Right off of 95 but not very noisy. Had a good night’s sleep and on our way again. Nothing fancy but perfectly fine. Would stay again if that’s our route.

We stopped here on an overnight between Prescott AZ and Northern California. Check in was quick, sites were level and clean. It was very quite at night, even though we were beside HW 95, as traffic on the highway seems to stop at night. I'll stay here again.

We were looking for a full hook up RV park to spend the night after traveling all day with the plan of leaving early the next morning. Nothing fancy just the basics. In my opinion this park fit the bill. We had no issues and all when according to plans. All for $25....

Your basic "some frills" RV park. Not fancy but very adequate. TJ is great! As a bonus you're just down the street from the Happy Burro Chile restaurant, complete with old coots and interesting characters...
