Nice campground. Power was good, No late night check in. I would recommend reflectors on their equipment. We came in late and could not see well finding spot and backing in.

Very quiet. Good week of fishing & relaxation. Clean. Water hookup are pretty far away on many sites. The were constructing new bathhouse when we were there.

We have camped at the Matsh many times and have always had a great experience! We will camp there again. The staff are great, restaurant delicious and the campsites are great!

Beautiful views, great time!! Wish people would keep the music to a minimum. Dueling radios at 10:30pm seems a little much.

Beautiful campground. I stayed in a tent on the grounds east of the restaurant. The bathhouse is very close, and clean. The sunset over the marsh lake was amazing, I saw the sunrise from the tower. The entire area is beautiful. The restaurant and bar has excellent service and very good food.

An excellent campground! Accommodated our 38’ fifth wheel very well. Water & electricity at sites, although water was 100’ away. Free dump station. Sites are well laid out but call ahead to check for muddy sites. Ours was great but we saw a few w standing water. Canoe launch and observation tower are at edge of campground with great fishing below the dam spillway. Maybe the best feature is the Three Guys & a Grill restaurant on-site - an easy < 10 minute walk from anywhere on the grounds. This is not an RV resort campground, but is outstanding camping…

The bathroom/shower needs improved. The wall around the faucet in the handicapped shower is totally dug out leaving a gaping hole. The other shower has nowhere to set anything--soap, shampoo, razor, etc. The water was cool to lukewarm the whole week I was there. Other than that the facility was clean. There were electric lines laying on the roof of the other toilet available on the other side of the campground. I didn't feel safe using that building.

Campground Response

Hi, the new bathroom/ shower facilities are being built and will hopefully be ready for the next camping season.

Water and Electrical connections are not in very convenient locations to each site. Most sites have a decent amount of grassy area but mine was all giant dandelions. The guy mowing didn't even attempt to mow my campsite. I even moved the picnic table and chairs closer to the camper to give him plenty of room. The dandelions are at least 8 inches tall. I reported it to the restaurant but it was pointless. The restaurant could care less about what the campsite looks like or the needs of the campers. I will stay again but only because it is the only campsites near my sister in laws in Kiel.

This is a great county park, with some paved spots, and some 30 amp and 50 amp spots. There is a dump station with two ports. Check in was easy at the restart on-site, but they didn’t have a permanent map posted and so if I hadn’t known already that our campsite was on the other side of the dam I would have had a bit of a search, as the camp is divided into a north and a south side. The marsh is beautiful and viewable from the wooden tower. Only complaint is that the campground map doesn’t show which sites have which amenities easily. They could improve the campground map which is available online, so those that want paved sites and 50 amp can identify them more quickly.

I had a great time at Marsh campground! Absolutely gorgeous sunsets on top of the tower! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The restaurant had really good food and awesome staff! Brittney and Leah (leo?) were my faves. Had a blast with these lovely ladies that did an awesome job. I highly recommend camping here and eating at this terrific restaurant. 4 stars was because I wanted another bathroom available, that morning walk was a block away.

When your camping you need a toilet! the mens/womens vault toilet was so full that it splashed up! there were 3 rolls of toilet paper in the womens and all had been water soaked and wouldn't unroll. We stayed at site 37 for 3 nights, finally on Monday morning 2 men showed up in a Sheboygan county parks truck with logo on the side, 1 went into the mens side and did nothing! The other smoked a cigarette, then they both went to the new construction site and talked to contractor workers, REALLY. This toilet served almost 40 sites, it also had an old power pole laying across the roof, at least keep it pumped out and provide paper until your new building is up, or close that portion of the campground.
