The Marsh was a marsh, rain flooded the site, fire pit was full of water for days after the rain.

Great place to camp

Overall a nice campground, a little pricey at $45 per. Brand new learning center/ bathrooms not maintained by the county, dirty and plenty of weeds! We’ll still camp there again.

Campground was well maintained, grass was recently mowed, sites were tidy, bathrooms (in a newer building) were very clean. Push button coded locks on bathrooms were occasionally a bit balky. Biggest issue was the showers: WATER WAS WAY TO HOT!! To their credit there was a sign (over the mirror by the sinks) advising to let the water run 30 seconds before using, but the temp on initially starting the shower was SCALDING! There was no temp adjustment, but after several MINUTES it did cool to a tolerable temp. Never thought I’d have to complain about too hot of a shower!

Very nice campground. Clean showers and bathrooms. However, there should not be a charge to use the dump station.

We have stayed at Marsh Campground for years. We were excited when they finally built a new toilet/shower building attached to the amazing nature center, but the ball has been dropped. The toilet/shower building is only about 3 years old and the service to it has declined each year. July 11 was our arrival, July 15 departure. Toilets had not been cleaned even once! The very large paper roles were just left on top of the toilet, not to handy! The water was very hot in the showers, with a note on the wall saying let run for 30 seconds to avoid burns!!!!! There are laws to protect people from scalds, water heaters have mixing valves or limit switches. The waste container was overflowing every day. Come on !!! This is a brand new building with first class Kohler fixtures, tile walls, terrazzo flooring, and nice wood trim. You should be ashamed of letting a building be in this kind of shape to the public. I know it's a thankless job cleaning these facilities, I retired from the Wisconsin DNR and know how the public can be at times. But it's well known when an attempt is not made what so ever that the general public doesn't "behave" well. AT LEAST FIX THE HOT WATER BEFORE A CHILD SUFFERS A SEVER BURN !!!

aside from the weather i was pleased, someone helped me change campsites as i checked in. the first person at the lodge i asked basicly sent me to my camper and told me i needed to that online, until another gal stepped in and had me taken care of in 30 seconds

We have camped here one weekend a year and have always enjoyed it- the only complaint I have is when huge motor homes back in so far that the back of there rig is hanging over the back of the pad 6-8 ft which then means they are 4 for from the back of my trailer which is not hanging over my pad- maybe put the motorhomes on the end sites that don’t back up to anyone???

My experience was not good. The online map was incorrect about the shower locations which is a key factor when selecting a site. The campsites were poorly marked so I just kinda guessed on where to setup. There were trucks speeding through the campground late at night (after 11pm) and through the grass right next to my tent (very scary!) and doing donuts in the restaurant parking lot. There were 3 showers, 2 of them had button only (no temp adjustment) and the water was WAY too hot to actually use them, the 3rd appeared to have temp adjustment but the shower head was broken off and it still had periods or extremely hot water on the coldest setting. The slip I picked up from a box when I got there had very little information and it didn’t seem like anyone was in charge. I only stayed 2 of the 3 nights I paid for because of all this. I cut my trip short and went home.

Camping was good as usual, flooded this year, but nothing anyone can do about that. There is still an issue with the water at the bathroom/shower in the new facility. That water is so hot, someone is going to burn themselves. Posting a sign to "let the water run for 30 seconds to avoid burns" is laughable. I let the water run in the accessible shower on the coldest setting for minutes, it never got below scalding. This is ridiculous for a brand new facility, did they even run cold water lines, or just hook everything up to a boiler set to maximum?
