Enjoyed ourselves. We will plan to return

The park is a nice park. It looked clean with the exception of the showers and bathrooms. The campground is NOT big rig friendly. The rigs that were able to get there before others were hanging out in the streets making it impossible for us to get into the spot that they originally put us in. We used it as a 2 day stop over and it literally was the only camp ground that was still open so we had no choice but to figure out a way to make it work. In the end, the staff was accommodating to make that work. The roads are pretty narrow and again not big friendly. The water hose sights and electrical sights were a good distance to our plug ins and as many review say they weren't prepared for that. All in all, it was a pretty park but just not big rig friendly (42 ft 5th wheel with Ford F350 longbed). Mostly local campers

Need to fix the non-potable water hose by the dump station, it sprays from the top like a shower. Not to much fun when it is cold outside.

Joseph Helser

Have stayed here several times over the past few years. Very nice campground, just wish there were more showers closer to our campsite.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review, looks like you were on Site 6 in October, the construction project that is going on in that area will house new bathrooms and showers for the campground. In your past stays looks like you were on site 39, unfortunately the county does not have plans for showers on that side of the campground.

Theresa Sills

The Marsh is our only campground we use and we love it there. It is very peaceful campers respect the noise ordinance and are very friendly. We have never been disappointed in our many many stays.

We had another great time camping during the week! One day it was too windy for a bon fire, so we went to the lodge and took advantage of the $2 old fashions and $2.50 1/4# burgers! Everyday they have a food special. The food is great! The 2 campers next to us took advantage of the daily food specials too! I love fall camping!

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. The restaurant is open year round. Starting Oct 19 we will be doing a 6oz beef tenderloin dinner with garlic parsley red potatoes and veggies for $10.99

Very nice camping weekend. Site was next to the new construction taking place was rather interesting watching them pour concrete and talk to a couple of the crew. Should be a beautiful building when there done.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review, the building will hopefully be done by May of next year, just in time for camping season.

It is a nice place to stay. We always have a good time there. The restaurant needs to make pizza though!

Campsite was nice but can get crowded with other campers. Unable to use any water craft like a canoe or a kayak or go fishing because the water is filled with cat tails. This is unacceptable so until the cattails are cleared out I will never go back there again.

Campground Response

We sent your review to the county department and they are currently out here for the next couple days clearing out the cattails. Thank you for your review.

Quiet, clean campground. Review the map before choosing a site - the gravel sites have a bit of gravel but mostly grass, which my dogs prefer anyway. Fishing and rivers along the campground. We thought we had an issue with the electric, and when we called, someone came out in a truck within minutes - impressive! (It ended up being our RV having a spark/short in the electric box). The restaurant onsite made this 5 stars - fast, friendly service and we sat outside (nice during COVID). Food was very good! So good that we went back the 2nd night. Overall a nice campground and cute small downtown areas of Elkhart Lake and Plymouth.

Campground Response

Thank you for the review! So glad you enjoyed your stay

This was our 3rd time in 2020 and we will be back in 2021. We family camp memorial weekend for the last 10 years family comes from all over the state to enjoy the Marsh

Very peaceful campground and nice area! Once improvement would be to clean the toilet area near the tower!

Campground Response

Thanks for the review with the surplus of people in the park this year we have tried our hardest to keep them clean but we will tried to be more diligent in keeping them clean.

Jeanne Hayes

Beautiful setting nestled in the farm country, large open spaces, clean restrooms and showers. Workers and patrons were respectful of others and smart enough to wear face masks even in the summer heat!
