Enjoy a traditional, cozy camping experience at Salt Lake City KOA, located near downtown Salt Lake City. Take the light rail transit system to Temple Square, trace your family tree at the world's largest genealogy library, hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, shop at the new City Creek Center mall, discover the world's largest open pit mine, visit the 2002 Winter Olympic venues or float in the Great Salt Lake. Came as an essential worker on airport. They promised me 250/wk and put me on waiting list for monthly. Then changed rate to 455/wk. Gouging me after getting me here. Not worth it but they know They have a monopoly. Right in The middle of crackville.

Dear Adam, we too are essential workers as we provide space for you to park you RV while you work. I'm sorry you misunderstood how our park moves from winter to summer season. Every campground hotel or any other accommodations will change and increase rates during summer months. When anyone calls asking about monthly we tell them all the same thing. We are blessed to have 2 RV parks 1-short term Daily KOA and 1-Long term monthly only park VIP. Our VIP monthly park has been full for a long time, with the occasional opening. We can accommodate people in our overnight short term camping park KOA on a nightly bases while they apply and wait for an opening in our long-term monthly park VIP. Our daily rate during winter months is 49.35 per day pre tax our pre-season rate in April only is 59.00 per day and our in-season summer rate is 64.89 per day. However, because of COVID-19 we decided to extend our winter rates thru May 14, making it a bit cheaper for people like yourself traveling for work during a pandemic. The pandemic is no ones fault, but we felt we were doing our part by keeping with our winter rates 2 months longer than normal. However,we are now to the point when we do need to go back to normal summer business as usual. The COVID-19 pandemic hurt every business not just ours! Our daily rate is now 64.89 per day. During winter we also gave a weekly discount of stay for 7 days pay for 5 days. For the month of May we moved that to stay for 7 days pay for 6 which also under normal circumstances goes away May 1, but with all that is happening this year we have extended a weekly special of stay for 7 pay for 6 days thru the month of May. That weekly special does go away June 1st. We will continue at our summer rate of the daily price 64.89 per day before taxes or any discount is applied. If you are waiting for a monthly site to come open, you will need to submit an application which we did give you upon check in. You have not turned that in yet, so please do so. We are trying really hard to accommodate all workers that stay with us. You also only booked a one week reservation not a 60 day reservation and we did give you the rate of 49.35 per day stay 7 pay for 5 for that week, you then renewed another week and the rate did change as it was suppose to. We do not allow for 60 day reservations and you can at anytime get on our website to look at the rates as you book a new reservation by renewing you are creating a new reservation every week. We in no way have or ever will price gouge any one. You are of your own free will and if you choose to stay in a daily RV park you will have some rate change, other parks charge on an occupancy-based pricing. Meaning if they are full you pay more to stay. We do not do that our rate stays the same all season long. I truly hope this helps clear up any confusion for you. Have a great day! This is an enormous park located just 2 miles from downtown/Temple Square, however, it gives the feel of being well outside the city once you get check in and to your site! Easy check-in with several lanes allowing you to pull in and not feel rushed or in the way. Friendly knowledgeable staff who share info not only about the park but the area and services that are available there. We were pleased to learn from them that a free shuttle runs every hour directly from the park office to Temple Square. We used this shuttle service and were thrilled not to have to hassle with finding directions and parking downtown! The shuttle also runs to the airport, so should you need to pick up or send other travelers that is pretty convenient too. Reasonably priced with large patio type sites just $3 more than a 'regular' site. Right across the street from light rail public transport if you need it, which leads into the heart of the city and the airport too. We were here in mid-May and surprised to find that the pool had still not been opened. There was a tiny hot-tub but that was filled with kids most of the time since the pool wasn't available. Was not particularly thrilled with our site and would have requested a change had we been staying longer than 2 days. It was a nice pull in with a grassy area, trees and picnic table in the 1000 row which would have been great except for the neighbor. the neighbor's site was on an end, the end site's grassy area is surrounded by a nice hedge. this neighbor was taking full advantage of that area and good for him, but he had parked his 5th wheel at the very edge of our grass and then extended his slide which effectively covered 1/2 our grassy area and made our picnic table inaccessible and useless. we could have pull the table over a bit but would still have felt like we were sitting in his rig had we sat at the table to eat or even have a glass of wine. not a comfy thing. the neighbor looked like he was there long term (monthly) so we didn't feel it would make any difference to ask the office to have him adjust his rig in it's space. Besides that we were quite happy with this park - quiet, clean, friendly, good Wi-Fi coverage!Don't let other's comments about the area/neighborhood freak you out or keep you from staying here. Felt completely safe (I'm from Atlanta, I know from 'ghetto' and 'depressed areas' and this is not bad at all). Lots of great sites here. Perm residents seem to be located around the perimeter but those sites are kept free of the 'ooze' of stuff that happens at some other places. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
