Well...life IS an adventure so they say! And we’ve found ours right here in Chinook, WA.

Here at RV Park At The Bridge in Chinook, WA, the views of the Astoria-Megler Bridge are stunning! We are 1/2 mile West of the Astoria-Megler Bridge on the WA side. The sunrise, the sunset, and the lights of the city of Astoria, Oregon are a real draw for many. Others just love the convenience of being so close to Astoria, Oregon (4 miles across the bridge) yet vacation or live in Chinook, WA.

We’ve been coming to this RV Park for years to enjoy the natural beauty of the Oregon Coast, the rich history of Astoria, Oregon, Chinook, Ilwaco, Long Beach Peninsula and to enjoy the Columbia River bounty. Fishing the mouth of the Columbia River or crossing the bar and fishing the Pacific Ocean is amazing! and fun...and we're hooked!

The previous owners of the RV Park (formerly known as Mauch's Sundown RV Park) became our friends and they knew that with my husband’s skill set (and my hospitable nature), we were the right ones to take over the RV Park when they retired. How could we pass up the opportunity to invest in a Pacific County community, the people who live here in Chinook, WA and those who vacation on the OR & WA Coast.   We continue to upgrade and beautify the RV Park...and love on y’all.

Explore along the Columbia River where Lewis and Clark Expedition took place. Visit Columbia River Maritime Museum, The Astoria Column, The Captain George Flavel House Museum especially if you are a Goonie! Challenge yourself at High Life Adventures and go for a thrilling zip line. Visit Historical Fort Stevens State Park & Fort Clatsop...Or have a beer at Fort George Brewery. New breweries &cider houses are popping up, as well as distilleries. So what are you waiting for? Create an adventure!

In WA, check out Fort Columbia Historical State Park, Cape Disappointment and their Waikiki Summer Concert series.  Visit Fort Canby State Park in Ilwaco, WA. & North Head Lighthouse. Take a  hike, ride a bike, enjoy kayaking, or just go fly a kite at the International Long Beach Kite Festival.

Please come visit, or stay a while.

We welcome you to RV Park At The Bridge!

I ⛺ camped, the tent site choices were great! Park hosts were nice and helpful. The owner was smokin hot, and his wife wasn't bad either!!!! Bahhahaha No seriously, everybody went out of their way to make my stay the best it could be! Felt really blessed, will definitely return when I'm in the area! Thanx guys!

Amy Mariah Rouse

Pleasantly surprised with this place. We had a two night stay. They were welcoming and helpful for getting our rig backed. We did not use any onsite facilities so I can’t say how those are, but they were painting and looked to be doing a lot of improvements. Our site was near the road but it was quiet at night. If I had another reason to stay in this area I would go back.

Campground Response

TY TY TY Amy for the review. We appreciate you taking the time to do so..it's so helpful for others! Hope to see you again when you are in the area, & until then~ Be well!

If you are anywhere within a 50 mile radius, I would HIGHLY recommend finding your way here!! The view is UNBEATABLE, the facilities are fantastic, and the hospitality is second to none!! Theresa and Preston will, without a doubt, treat you like family. They take pride in their park, their community, and you will feel like you are a part of both :) Whether you’re an outdoorsman or a family of 4...You will be happy with RV Park At The Bridge!!

Campground Response

Andrea Querry

The park is clean, and the location is great. I traveled to Astoria and nearby sites during my stay, it was convenient. The sites are a little tight, but we were there for the location, not to hang out at the park. But you can, they have a raised area where you can sit and enjoy the view. They have done a nice job making the park look nice. The bathrooms/showers and laundry were clean and well maintained. The staff and owners were helpful and friendly. We would stay again. Also, our view was the Columbia River, we were lucky to be in the front row.

Campground Response

Claudia Koransky

The owners were very welcoming . At the time we arrived the well pump had failed and there was no water. They provided bottle water until the repair was completed . They were thoughtful enough to call us on the road to advise us of the situation to allow us to fill our holding tanks. The location was right on Hwy 101. The road noise was awful and there was no area to escape it. The owner helped me steal a picnic table from another site for our use. I don’t plan to return as it was a bad location and we left a day early to get back home for peace and quiet.

Campground Response

Hi Claudia~ so sorry your experience was less than stellar :( We apologize for the inconveniences.

Very nice hosts, Theresa is very warm and caring doing the best for her guests. The view across the Columbia was awesome and the park was tidy. Please be aware if you are sensitive to noise or light sleeper this park is separated from Hwy 101 by a log fence and the Hwy remains noisy at night. But if that doesn't bother you it is a great little place.

Dan and Stephanie Baltazor

The owners and the camp hosts are SO friendly. The park is super clean, the utilities worked flawless, and the view was Beautiful. Great spot to stay and venture out to Astoria or Long Beach. Thank You for a great stay.

Campground Response

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, those camp hosts are the best! Will expect you back soonly then!

Great spot close to everything. Long Beach, Astoria & Seaside.

Campground Response

TY for choosing us! We are thrilled you took the time to comment and that you enjoyed your time here. We hope to get you that same great site next time! Happy Trails:)

Eris Bonokoski

I recently stayed at this RV Park. It has been under new ownership for a year and this couple are doing a beautiful job of getting it fixed up. I arrived at sunset and Preston directed me into the site and helped me hook up the essentials. Both Preston and Theresa are warm and welcoming. The view was fabulous, encompassing the bridge to Astoria; it's twinkling lights and an vermilion sunset! I wish them all the best in their new endeavour!

Campground Response

Hey HI! How did I miss your AWESOME review?!! TY TY TY for your kind words and helpful assessment! We appreciate you taking time and look forward to connecting again!

Laura Farmer

We're just home from our first weekend of RV vacationing. We happened upon this RV park option and chose it for its view and close proximity to Astoria. Teresa was so sweet and welcoming. We pulled in late on Friday night in the rain and she was quick to come out and welcome us and help get us settled and hooked up. (Like I said, we're new at this!) We enjoyed a night of playing cards outside on the nice wood picnic tables provided and watched the beautiful sunset over the horizon. We will look forward to staying here again as Teresa made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. Clean bathrooms, showers and dressing rooms, laundry too! Oh and and a nice dog area for "business" too.

Campground Response

Thank you Laura for your kind words. It was pleasure meeting you all and so glad your stay was great!! See you next time. Happy trails!

An OLD aerial view..but the park is divided about equally East & West by a little Creek.

Clark’s Dismal Nitch 230 US101- about ½ mile east of the Park. Dismal Nitch was an important part of Lewis & Clark expedition. They had made their way across the country, only to be stuck here for nearly a week waiting out a fierce winter storm in 1805. Informational signs will guide you.

Middle Village Station Camp 354 US101, Chinook WA- about 2 miles west of the Park. There is a paved parking lot that is just off the highway with some RV and bus parking. Enjoy the smooth footpath all the way around through the park. Easily walkable. Wheelchair accessible. It’s about a half mile long. There are several observation decks where you can look out over the area, and lots of informational signs. An interesting feature is the three large concrete canoes where kids are welcome to climb on and enjoy.

Fort Columbia State Park 475 US101, Chinook WA- about 3 miles west of the Park. A great example of a pre-World War II coast artillery fort with interpretive signs to explain what you're seeing. It provides a vivid glimpse into the history of the area. The museum in the barracks building provides history of the area and the use of the fort over the years. The movie is excellent! It was a beautiful place for a picnic lunch. Don't miss the Powerhouse trail. It is short, interesting and has a beautiful view.

North Head Lighthouse Fort Canby State Park, Ilwaco, WA Beautiful forest trails meander their way to 2 historic lighthouses. A great shooting location for photographers! Ideal for families, children and dogs. Amazing beaches too!
