Winter

 Full-hookup site rentals may fill up their water tanks but must IMMEDIATELY disconnect from the water source to prevent the hydrant from freezing. During the winter, connection must not be continuous during freezing temperatures.  Winterize water line from base of hydrant to camper connection.  Build around the hydrant for best protection. PVC pipe can be used, for example.  Winterize the sewer connections and valves.  Keep electrical pedestal closed.  Clear snow from pad, sewer connections, water hydrants and electrical pedestals to allow for access.  Snow removal of your pad is your responsibility. Shoveling pads is not provided by River Dance.  River Dance is on a private sewer system, meaning we treat all waste in the sewer lines. Antifreeze and similar chemical agents have the potential to seriously damage and/or destroy our Wastewater Treatment System. These products are HIGHLY discouraged and should be avoided. Most effective prevention is to use skirting, ground heaters, and proper placement of heat tape to protect your camper and River Dance utilities from winter conditions.  Any damage caused by not having the necessary winterization in place will be repaired at Campers expense (and this can get very expensive, so let’s please avoid it by winterizing properly, per the rules outlined here-in).

The site was so slanted we could not level our class c motorhome! The name calls it a resort but it’s not. No amenities to speak of. The price for what was there is ridiculous. Fine for an overnight stay but no more.

The person in the office was rude. After check in there was never anyone in the office. No help, all no contact policy. The parking pad was really unlevel There is nothing there, but they advertise as a “ resort”. The price is outrageous for the condition.

Campground Response

Hi John, we're sorry you did not enjoy your stay at River Dance. As expressed multiple times by the person using the office at River Dance, he is a third party that uses the office and is not part of the management team. He still tried to help you, but was harshly rejected. Our park is contactless as mentioned in our confirmation email and by the gentleman who uses our office. Staffing shortages are tough out here, and we hope to get someone on-site in the near future. We will look into the condition of your site, but this is the first we've heard this complaint. Thank you for your feedback. We value and appreicate it. River Dance Management

Enjoyed our stay. Liked that all the information was emailed to us and we could go directly to our site. We were given site 33, which was looking at the river. The only drawback on the first few sites on the river, is that they were uneven and slopped down hill. You have to unhook to Jack up the front of your rig enough. Otherwise, nice campground

Terri White

Much improved under the new management. Wi-Fi was sketchy but a work in progress. We would stay there again.

Erin Baker

Very pretty but rustic campground, though right off 70 so it is noisy. When they say electric-only they mean it, as in, the water pumps are locked, so come prepared. No contact checkin and checkout - I just drove to my site and no one bothered me for a few days. You can go right down to the river. The wifi was in "beta testing" but was 100% no issues. There is currently some sort of construction going on that required giant trucks full of rocks to drive through the grounds and that was annoying but I would return any time I need a place to stop.

Not having on site personnel for check in was disconcerting , but sites were clean and spacious , facilities were clean and modern, and the internet was fast. A site map would have been helpful.

Clean rest rooms, level pad for my trailer, and the Milky Way visible at night. We couldn't have had a better experience at River Dance RV Park. Easy off and on for I-70. Thanks, we'll see you again this fall!

Well maintained RV park. Good location for travellers. Would stay there again when in the area.

Stunning setting along the River, though I don’t think I’d fish it… Main critique about restrooms (only 1 male and 1female) and not the cleanest showers, though well heated, don’t seem to be cleaned even once a day. They can do much better here regarding that for $75/night. Also, there’s no central pathway from the outer sites to the facilities. The I-70 noise was not a big factor to me. Reservation confirmation needs to give better arrival directions and information. This seems to be primarily a “full time” RV. Area including ya gotta love dogs… No staff available in office and camp host not identified or apparent. The “rockscape” is well done. Dumpsters kinda stunk and this was cool weather…30 min to Vail. Overall nice stay but a bit pricey$$$

The showers and bathrooms were private and nice. The campground is nicely laid out with plenty of room to walk the dog. Peaceful setting right along the river. We had a positive experience (twice).

Enjoyed every bit of it. Stay was very pleasant with an amazing view. Bathrooms were clean.

Campground is in a great location. It’s a very pretty area. The sites are nice size which will accommodate a large RV or travel trailer and tow vehicle. The bathroom/shower facilities were clean. The camp host, Paul, is friendly and very helpful. He was very prompt and attentive to any issues. We will stay here again in the future.

Had I nite reservation. When I arrived the roads were very icy, the space I was assigned was totally covered with snow. Since I had already had trouble sliding in their road I was afraid to park in the space for fear I would get stuck. Thus, I camped in Costco parking lot. The spot should have been cleared knowing someone was assigned to arrive that evening. I didn’t even care if I lost the $$ for a one nite stay!!

Campground Response

Hi Marcia, We're sorry to hear the pad was not satisfactory upon arrival. We wish you had reached out while you were here! Our snowfall can accumulate during the day, and with varying arrival times, we don't always have each pad completely cleared at the same time. We have an on-site crew with equipment that would have cleared off the pad. Our Colorado conditions can vary, but we would like our service to you to always be reliable. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future. River Dance Management
