Great campground! Great price! Very friendly, welcoming, and helpful people. The bathhouse was especially nice. The location is perfect. I'm glad I found the place and hope to return.

Very friendly and flexible staff. And it's GREAT that they often serve empanadas and coffee in the morning! We love staying here because of the proximity to so many things in the New River and Gauley River Gorges.

I had a great time at Ray's, no complaints at all. The staff was friendly, and I was able to do my own thing for my two night stay. My cabin was exactly as expected, the perfect amount of structure for me to be comfortable, but without feeling like I'm jsut in a hotel room.

Loved this place! The staff are helpful and pleasant (thanks Jake!), the bathrooms and community spaces were all clean and well stocked and the prices are probably the best you could hope for. If you are there for climbing, boating, etc... it's also the perfect 1/2 way point between the New and Summersville/Gauley. I have found my go to campground.

We had a great time at Rays!! super well kept and clean. Had a very friendly and safe environment and super close to fayetteville and new river gorge!! The people who ran it were great, and even gave us coffee and cinnamon rolls for our drive home :)) definitely would love to come again

The campground was well maintained and the staff was very nice. Pictures of some sites were a little misleading and staff was hard to get a hold of during the week. Once we got a hold of the staff they were very helpful in getting us out of the site we got stuck in. There were first come first serve and reservable spots though the reservable spots were hard to find in some places and were not monitored to make sure people didn't go to the wrong spot. Overall there were very few things we had issues with and we would definitely return to this campground in the future.

Hi Danielle! Glad you enjoyed your stay and it was unfortunate that you got stuck in your campsite! We recommend not going down too steep of hills with a 2 wheel drive. WV is no joke with these mountains and hills when it rains! Glad we could get you out. We look forward to you returning again! I think there might have been a misunderstanding with the reservation spots. All reservation spots are on one side of the road, the left hand side. All reservation spots also have numbered posts and are the only spots with numbered posts. Along with that, all reserved spots have a hand written sign with the word ”reserved” on the post with the party's name for the reservation, just like your spot had. Hope that helps for next time!

This campground was the best! The cabin was exactly as pictured, plenty of amenities, and the staff was so kind and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Super pleased with my stay at Rays Campground! The office staff were super friendly and even had some Sunday breakfast available for the guests. Bathrooms were clean and huge. Showers were hot and perfect water pressure. Site are well spaced out and deeps firepits. Wood and ice available at the campground! Would definitely come back if in the area again. Thanks for the awesome experience! :)

I have always loved this campground. Been camping there for almost 12 years now and keep coming back. The new updates with the parking and sites have been wonderful. Even with the new people that have come in to help run the campground, it still has the same safe, friendly feel I remember.
