Positives first: Campsite was pretty next to the river. All employees very nice. Nice little store on property with a nice selections of snacks and Beer. Negative: trash cans at every campsite and our had 5 more additional ones for different recycles at ours. Make it easy and neater by having dumpsters by check in store. Worst thing is the Highway! Logging trucks, life stock trucks and all other traffic noise all hours of the day and night. Maybe a fence would help keep some nose down and some junipers along the highway line would be so much nicer. Additionally, fence between each campsite so you don’t walk out your door and step and see sewer hoses... little things would make this a five star! Close to black canyon too which was nice.

One of our favorite places to camp. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It’s a quiet place with the Cimarron river right behind you. We just got home from camping for Labor Day weekend, and we already can’t wait to go back.

Come for the serenity stay for the pie! My wife and I have been doing the RV thing for twenty years and have never found a place like this. Beautiful views, Cydnee and Tito are the most friendly and gracious owners!

Campground Response

Thank you so much for your stay with us. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you visit us again! I also think this is an incredible space - truly my kind of campground to get the water feature, the shade, the grass, etc. plus electric, water and sewer hookups. If I can't be out in the middle of nowhere dry camping, this is the place I would pick. Cydney

Our first time staying here. We were looking for some place different to stay in our journey to Phoenix and we found it. Great cabin and comfortable. So much nice than another motel. It is close to the road but after dark we rarely heard a thing. Owners were great folks, they have a little slice of heaven here. My wife is an amputee and had a leg breakdown and they had some JB weld that worked great to do on the road repair. I'll be spreading the word about this place to all our friends.

Campground Response

Hi Craig. I'm so glad we could help and that you loved your cabin. We can't tell you how much we appreciate you spreading the word about us and would love to host you again any time. We think this place is so special and a wonderful place to unwind beside the river and get away from it all.

We stayed in a cabin, extended our stay, and were VERY glad that we did. The cabin was awesome! It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we could possibly need. The owners are AMAZING. They go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. I loved the people, creek, store, pie, and the sheep and the peace!

Campground Response

I can't say enough how much we enjoyed having Emily and her grandmother stay here with us. They were wonderful guests and are spectacular people! Cydney

Second time we have stayed here and it is our new favorite. We brought 23 of us to stay for the weekend, half in RV sites and half in cabins. The creek was running, the pond was stocked with fish for all the kiddos we had with us. Close to so many different things to go explore. Full hookups, friendly staff, delicious pie and just a nice and simple place to stay. Thanks again and we will spread the word about Pleasant Valley!!!

Campground Response

Hi Elissa. We really enjoyed having all of you. What a wonderful group! It was so great (when I had a chance to peek over) to see the kids having such a good time. You all get the best parents award from us for having the nicest, cutest and great behaved kids. It was a real pleasure to host all of you here. Cydney
