Family operated place. Very helpful management. Walking distance to groceries and eating. Great place to stop.

The staff was friendly. Extra kudo to Juan for helping me with the hookups since it was out first trip with my wife and dogs in our new trailer. The location was perfect, it's about 90 minutes outside of Las Vegas and the drive was easy and we didn't want to travel too far for our first time. The campground was adequate and there is a mini market - gas station behind it.

For the price, it was a perfect stop between the drive from Idaho to Arizona if you didn't want to deal with Vegas. Sleepy town with nothing to do, but the bathrooms were actual rooms with shower, clean, and the manager was friendly. No frills place but everything worked great. Quiet site so we got a good night's rest. BYOB - it's a dry County.

Juan was awesome. Other than that, I'm glad it was only essentially a rest stop. That way I am not disappointed. As noted, the spots are tight, and it's just a glorified parking lot.

The ONLY thing good about this place is Juan and the walking distance to the Mexican food restaurant and store. This is nothing more then a gravel parking lot in the direct sun. Your neighbor is RIGHT next to you. No tables, or anything else in sight. We got charged $50.00 to park over night. Never again!

Campground Response

We have never charged $50 bucks for any site. Our prices are 30 for backins and 33 for pul thru's. The sites are offset so you have more room than most RV parks I stayed in. There are 8 tables, and you have access to great restrooms. You also have WI FI and Cable TV. along with 30/50 amp power water and sewer. So sorry you are not happy with your stay. If you would have complained while you were here we would have been happy to refund your your money. We only want satisfied happy customers.

Staff was friendly. The photos are not a representation of the majority of sites. NO ONE WAS CAMPED UNDER THOSE TREES WHICH WAS WHY WE ELECTED TO STAY THERE TO BEGIN WITH. We couldn’t put out a small awning because the next camper to arrive would be passing so close that it would strike it. Close quarters are not the right words to describe it. There were three tables in the entire park and one as in disrepair. If we wanted to relax outside our trailer it would be on the gravel near the road the only grass was next to the road, but dogs were relieving themselves there. We would never stay there again. Bathrooms were fine.

Campground Response

You most certainly can park under the trees if you want to. I'm sure you were given the choice. Awnings can be out but sometimes if we have a camper next to you they may need to be pulled in so we can place them as the sites in the middle are offset from each other. there are 8 tables in the park and more are being added all the time. I just purchased 5 more last week. We do live in the Nevada desert and water is scarce, so yes grass is not at every site. Wish it was but it is fairly hard to keep it growing here. So sorry you were not happy.

Always a pleasure staying at Pickett’s! We stop here on our way to and from our trips up north. Always friendly and pleasant.

Stayed April 2, 2019 on way back to Twin Falls Idaho from Southern Arizona. Personable and friendly Management, walking distance to local cafe. Great place for overnight stay. Only drawback is the "closeness" to your neighbor as spaces are extremely tight.

Stayed overnight on Monday March 25th while traveling from Yuma to BC. Sites are tight when big units parked side/side. Staff great, reservation recommended as park filled up quick, then had turnaways. Will stay again.
