The Painted Rock Petroglyph Site is located in Gila Bend, Arizona and is perfect for an outdoor getaway. Campers can look forward to a breathtaking desert environment, perfect for hiking, mountain biking and exploring; visitors especially enjoy stargazing on those clear Arizona nights. There's also accommodations for hunting wildlife, and wildlife viewing, so whether your a hunter or curious camper, keep your eyes open for the deer and elk native to the area. There's also horseback riding paths, and of course, the cultural/historical site the campground is named after. Campers can view the symbolic and artistic art etchings of prehistoric peoples on rocks around the campground, so be sure to visit that!
