Moonflower Meadow is located approximately 20 minutes east of Ruidoso Downs, where The All American Futurity horse race is held every labor day weekend.

Directly west of Ruidoso Downs is the small village of Ruidoso, where you'll find charming shops, restaurants and we are sure a deer or two along with a whole lot of elk!

The famous small town of Lincoln NM, famous for Billy the kid, is approximately 30 minutes northeast of us. Lincoln is a pretty little town practically frozen in time, a must see for any history buff!

Fifteen minutes north of Lincoln is the town where the famous Smokey Bear is from, Capitan NM.

Directly one hour east of Moonflower Meadow is the city of Roswell, where all things space alien are celebrated!

Great place to stay. Clean, level and spacious sites. Every morning the elk come and graze in the field. I sat and drank my coffee and watched them. So peaceful

This campground is clean, well maintained with mature trees at every site. It is a small RV Park with a few cottages to rent as well. Rv's must be self contained. We were the only RV inthe park at the time of our stay. We were greeted upon arrival and didn't see anyone after that. Level, full hook-up sites with plenty of extra space. The elk greeted us several mornings.

We were the only RV in the park while we stayed. It is close to the hwy, but you don't hear a lot of noise. The local herd of elk came to visit a few times while we were there. The sites are large with full hook-ups. The campground is clean. Lots of things to do in the area. We spent a bit of time in and near Ruidoso.

What a delightful little rv park with friendly owners. Can’t wait to come back in the spring when everything is green and in bloom. Quiet and relaxing.

Great quiet place. The trees would need to be trimmed. This is the nicest place to stay in this area. All of the other campgrounds are full of permanent campers.

Lovely location, very quiet & scenic. There was a laundry & hooks worked, but no showers or toliets. Spaces were level & well-kept. Bring reading material & your hot spot because there's no Internet or tv. The drive to Ruidiso for restaurants is about 15 miles.

I rolled in on Wednesday, April 5th and had the whole park to myself. The park manager came out to meet me and was very friendly and helpful. The location is nestled in the mountains with a very a large meadow and creek bordering the back. A must-do side trip is a visit to the historic town of Lincoln, a town frozen in time and famous for the Lincoln County War which was more of a feud beween to ranching factions. The weather was pleasant but the temps did drop to freezing both nights. Warning: Make sure you turn on the Don Maricio Loop and not before!

Lovely pristine property about 20 minutes out of Ruiduso - ringed by gigantic trees, spaces are very generous in size and feel private, large shady trees at each spot keeps things cool all day, breezy but not windy. Lots of flowering shrubs and grass on the property, and shade on the rigs. A bit of noise from the 4-lane highway above it, depending on the direction of wind. Donnie was amiable and answered a lot of questions about the area. There are so many RV parks on this highway, treeless, messy looking, and crowded. But we really found a gem. Thank you Donnie & Shannon.

Absolutely, the best RV Park that we stayed in in New Mexico. There is no WiFi, and it is hard to spot from the road but it is a gem: clean, quiet, well maintained and the owners are wonderful. There are large trees for shade and they are trimmed so that you have no problem with slides. We really enjoyed it.

Very nice and clean campground! Quiet and peaceful with pretty landscape. Level spots that are spaced out well. Highway 70 is clise which gives a bit of traffic noise but park is nestled in a meadow with trees blocking the view of the highway. If you have pets keep in mind there is an additional fee. Overall very pleased with my visit.
