There are 32 gravel sites – some are shorter than others, but we had no difficulty with our 38 foot rig. We had ample space for our slide outs, the site was level and we had both a fire ring and a picnic table. All sites are full hookup with 50/30/20 amp electric service. The pull thru sites are located in the front and rear of the resort, while the back in sites overlook the private trout ponds and the Middle Fork of the South Platte River, which was more of a rushing creek when we were at the park. Our site backed up to a cliff; a path led down to the ponds. The area is known for its gold panning and the park owners have an area where visitors can pan for gold (supplies must be provided by visitors) – Guests may fish for trout at the park or pan for gold! We had fun watching some guests panning for awhile. There is only one restroom to share. There is one toilet, two sinks, and two showers. There is also only one washer and dryer – staff with do laundry (wash, dry, and fold) for $6 a load, or guests may arrange to do self laundry for $3 (wash and dry). Free Wireless Internet access is supposed to be throughout park, but a big thunderstorm had knocked it out a couple days before we arrived, so we did not have that amenity. Our Verizon WiFi worked sort of well. We could easily walk up the hill to a small strip shopping center that has the South Park Brewing Pub, a local grocery store, and a True Value Hardware. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
