Park has been sold to new owners and there are still too many permanent trailers on site and men working on broken down cars on their lots. This campground is still very run down and dirty as previous owner Renew Vandenberg left it. I cannot believe that there are gallon milk jugs in ceiling for light fixtures around office . Hopefully new owner will clean up the place and make it inviting for families and not dangerous and scarring as it has been for years. Then maybe we and so many others will give it another chance.

Stayed at park for a two night stay and wouldn’t recommend this campground. Dirty bathrooms, only 1 working washing machine . We have small children and wouldn’t allow them to use pool, because there were numerous grown men sitting in an area next to pool drinking beer and being very loud and obnoxious. Yelling profanity at people around pool. Not a good place . Looks like there are transients hanging out there. Don’t understand why owner doesn’t react to what is going on there. !!!!!

We arrived at this campground with the intention of staying here for the next five weeks while our house is being built. The night we arrived my husband discovered a family treating their kids for lice in the public bathhouse. The next morning I went to the office to pay for a month. When I walked in Ashley rudely told me technically she wasn't open yet. I was taken back by her rudeness and told her I would come back. Later a man came knocking on my camper door. Without introduction, he asks how many adults and how many children and told me I needed to come pay. I told him I would be there before they closed, that earlier I was treated rudely because I showed up one minute before they opened. It must have made them mad because when I went back to pay for two nights because I refuse to stay there long term, they were rude yet again. They told me that they had several complaints that we were noisy after quiet hour which was at 10:00. Their description of us being noisy was my husband taking the kids bikes out of the back of the truck. Again I was taken back by their rudeness. Looking back now we arrived at 8:36 long before quiet hour. According to other reviews if you aren't white trash then they will pick you apart until you leave. Judging by the campers in the back, I can believe it. Trashy staff and place. Do not stay here.

This park is convenient for an overnight stay with easy access to I-55 at exit 271. All sites are FHU pull through with 30 and 50 amp service. Free wifi (but didn't use because I have my own) but no cable TV (can pick up about 5 local stations with antenna). Amenities also include separate men's and women's restrooms and laundry, a pool (closed for the season), an overgrown "catch & release" pond, and a small area for walking pets on leash. Small dirt/gravel roads with lots of potholes (some turns tight for big rigs). We arrived after heavy rain so the roads and sites were pretty muddy (not good for walking pets). With a Passport America discount the one night rate was $25.00 (cash only). Owner Patricia Van den Berg was very friendly and helpful. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
