Little Wolf Campground is a town operated campsite and beach facility located on the shore of Little Wolf Pond. Open Memorial Day weekend through September 30, Little Wolf Campground is a summer home and getaway for locals and visitors alike. The campground has 45 camper camp sites, most of which have electric and water hookups and sewage disposal. Select sites offer limited services with electric and water hookups only. Little Wolf Campground also offers 8 tent camping sites on the opposite end of the beach from the camper campsites. Restrooms with changing stalls are available, indoor & outdoor showers are provided for registered guests of the campground.

SEASONAL RENTALS

A $100.00 non-refundable deposit for seasonal rentals is due on or before Labor Day of the previous season. Remainder of payment for seasonal rentals is due IN FULL by May 1st 2023. There will be no exceptions. If a seasonal site is not paid in full, the site will be forfeited. Seasonal site-holders must be present each consecutive year to retain their site. If unforeseen health circumstances arise, which prevent you from being present, the Town Board will assess your situation, and may offer the option to hold your site for up to one camping season. Seasonal rate MUST be paid in full, no refunds will be offered. If circumstances persist after one season, the seasonal site must be forfeited.

SEASONAL SITE SUBLETTING or TRANSFER OF SITE

Seasonal sites are reserved for the name on the reservation only. Seasonal campers that vacate their site before the end of the season (Labor Day) are NOT permitted to sublet their sites. Seasonal campers are NOT permitted to transfer their site to anyone, including family members, at any time. Seasonal campers that leave before the end of the season should notify the campground caretaker of their departure.

NOISE & LIGHT ORDINANCE

Quiet hours are to be observed from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Music and excessive lights/noise must end by 10:00 pm each night. Excessive noise at any time will not be tolerated. Excessive lighting includes; flood lights, flashing/strobing/party lighting.

ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES

Use of illegal substances WILL NOT be tolerated. Subject to immediate removal from campground. No refunds will be issued.

VISITORS AND CHILDREN

All campers and their visitors are required to conduct themselves in a respectable manner. Offensive activity such as; excessive noise, vandalism, public intoxication etc., of any kind will not be tolerated. All children must obey the curfew of 9:30 PM and be at their campsite or accompanied by a parent. All non-camping visitors must leave by 10:00 PM. No children under the age of 18 may be left at the campground without adult supervision. Children under the age of 10 must be supervised at all times in playground area. The site holder is responsible and will be held accountable for behavior of guests, including but not limited to; damages, vandalism, and disorderly conduct.

CHAIN OF COMMAND

Any unusual activity, out of the ordinary incidents and/or emergencies requiring Police, Rescue or Fire Response must be reported using the proper chain of command. Caretaker → Recreation Director → Town Supervisor → Town Board Examples of reportable incidents include; injuries, accidents, missing person, property damage, substance overdose, physical altercations, domestic disputes, medical emergencies, disorderly conduct, etc.

CAMPSITE APPEARANCE

Campsites will be kept neat and tidy. For safety reasons, a maximum of two picnic tables will be permitted at each site, one of which will be provided by Little Wolf Campground. Campers must safely maintain all hoses and connectors to their units. Please keep access to camper’s primary entrance clear for emergency purposes. Management has the right to enter campsites for repairs or emergencies without notice. Camping units on wheels (RVs, camper vans, truck campers, pop-up units, travel trailers, fifth wheels) must reserve an RV site and are NOT allowed in tent sites. Camping in the parking lot is NOT permitted.

PUBLIC BEACH

Campers must follow Little Wolf public swimming beach rules. Rules are posted on Lifeguard Chairs along the shoreline. NO SWIMMING in unattended areas.

SNACK BAR

The Snack Bar will operate Memorial Day through Labor Day. Snacks, drinks, firewood and ice are available. See campground caretaker with questions regarding the Snack Bar.

PUBLIC RESTROOMS/SHOWERS

Restrooms, changing stalls and outdoor shower are open to the public. Indoor showers are reserved for guests of the campsite only. See the campground caretaker for instructions.

VEHICLES & PARKING

No more than 2 vehicles are permitted at a site at any given time. Please advise guests that additional parking is available by beach area. No parking on vacant sites without permission from Caretaker. In accordance with the town ordinance: No ATV’s (3 & 4 Wheelers), electric scooters, or dirt bikes are allowed in the campsite. Campers should not have golf carts, side-by-sides or other recreational vehicles inside the campground. Special exceptions may be made for guests with mobility issues. Please reach out to the Recreation Department with concerns.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY

No more than 8 people permitted per RV site or 6 guests per tent camping site overnight. RV sites are permitted one RV/camper and one tent per campsite (screen tent, gazebo or sleeping tent). Tent camping sites are permitted one large tent or two small tents per campsite.

GROUP GATHERINGS/SPECIAL EVENTS

Group gatherings or special events such as family reunions or celebrations are permitted as long as the group number remains at a reasonable size. Guests should use public parking by the beach area. Please see Recreation Director with questions about group sizes.

SPEED LIMIT

Speeding WILL NOT be tolerated. Please observe the 5 MPH speed limit at all times.

WILDLIFE

DO NOT feed ducks, geese, seagulls or other wildlife. Please be aware of bears and other critters; do not leave food unattended.

GARBAGE

Use designated garbage trailer for your campground garbage. Be sure garbage is properly bagged. This service is for registered campers only. Violators will be prosecuted.

SEWAGE

A dump station is available by the front entrance of the campground. There is a $10 use fee for campers not staying at Little Wolf Campground.

DOGS/PETS

All pets must be attended, leashed and cleaned up after at all times. Provide proof that your pet(s) is up-to-date on all required shots prior to check-in. Pets are NOT allowed on the swimming beach.

CABLE/WIFI

Cable TV is available at each site. Campers must make their own arrangements with their cable service provider. Public WiFi is available to campers at no additional charge. WiFi Password: LittleWolf64

CAMPFIRES

Campfires must be attended at all times and must be contained in the designated fire ring. One fire ring will be permitted per campsite. A maximum of a half cord of wood can be stored per camp site. Only local firewood will be allowed due to invasive species, firewood is available for purchase at the concession stand. Do not place ashes in your camper or garbage cans, contact caretaker for assistance with ash cleanout. Burning of trash or other debris is prohibited. Fires must be extinguished each night before bed.

FIREWORKS

No fireworks allowed on beach or premises. While some fireworks are legal in New York State, no fireworks are allowed on Little Wolf Beach & Campground.

SMOKING/VAPING

Smoking/Vaping is permitted in individual campsites. Please use the proper receptacles for butts, do not litter. Smoking/Vaping is prohibited around Concession Stand, in restrooms/showers, on the beach and in the pavilion.

LITTERING

Littering is not permitted anywhere. Use trash receptacles provided.

PAVILION

The pavilion is available for first-come-first-serve use unless it is reserved for a private event. Please contact the Recreation Director at the Town Hall; 518-359-3870 for information. The pavilion is reserved by Tupper Lake Day Camp every Tuesday and Thursday, July 6, 2023 through August 11, 2023 from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

These rules & regulations are not subject to individual interpretation. Little Wolf Beach Campgrounds reserves the right to take any action at equity and/or law that we deem appropriate to enforce the Rules and Regulations of Little Wolf Beach & Campground. All campers and their visitors are required to obey all municipal ordinances, resolutions and other laws, all county regulations and laws, all state laws and all federal laws. The office will maintain a record log to track all violations for the season. After 3 violations, you will be evicted from the campground. If there are problems, please let us know. We cannot correct or fix these problems if we do not know about them.
