Lakewood Recreation Area

Overview

The Lakewood Recreation Area is located in the beautiful and historic Texas town of Gonzales, Texas and is a great place for an authentic southern vacation. Onsite, travelers can enjoy great fishing and raver rafting on the Guadelupe-Blanco River. Offsite, campers can look forward to a number of local attractions such as the Old Jail Museum, Palmetto State Park, Gonzales Memorial Museum, the Texas Heroes Square, as well as almost a half dozen other historic sites and a few excellent antique stores. Visitors can also enjoy the areas many small, local restaurants, bars and shops, as well as the Lynn Theater and J B Wells Park and Arena. Amenities at the park include: big rig access, restrooms, showers, tent camping, water, sewerage, WIFI, 30/50 amp sites, beach access, boat ramp and playground. Hope to see you soon!
