Few amenities in this park and the accommodations are tight in terms of the space allocated per site and the means of getting your unit onto the space... was very hard to back our 36 foot 5th wheel into a space as tight as this one where the people in the space next door had their very large truck parked right on the line with our space. No cable even though when I booked the spot the website indicted cable was included. Bath house did not appear to have showers and were just not as well equipped as many other parks we have been to. All in all, for the price especially, a huge disappointment.

Full service RV facilities with nice views of Lake Norman, free kayak and paddle board use, boat dock and places to sit around a fire on the lake shore. Also a tiki bar with a decent selection of beverages and snacks on weekend days. Be aware of late arrival policies. There are full hook-ups outside the gates for use if you arrive late.

Great Resort ....excellent staff

Richard Ireland

The resort is well-kept with great service. It's best suited for folks that own boats or want to rent a boat from the resort. They are slowly becoming more of a tiny-home resort versus RV's. Great view of the lake. Wi-Fi service is really terrible and there poor cell-phone service (AT&T). Kayaks are free and very basic. There are no walking or biking trails in the area.

Campground Response

Richard, Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate the feedback. We are currently having fiber installed through out the park to improve our Wi-Fi. We do hope that you will return and be able to utilize the high speed internet. Cheryl Caldwell Resort Manager

Great staff, very clean & well maintained campground. Would stay at again.

Andre Ferreri

Friendly staff. Many amenities! Clean lots and campgrounds. Will be making it a regular stop!

Stayed in a 40 ft motor home Nice site #17 with a gazebo and nice view of the inlet. Staff very nice. Coming in by the office is very congested. Its worse when you are leaving and need hook up the toad. We suggested they make more room by moving excess boats, trailers and extra cars. They said they appreciated our suggestion. .

The resort was over all beautiful and laid out well. All staff and management were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed there mid June ,2020. Pros- RV park is very well kept. Bath houses very clean. Good Bar. On a cove in Lake Norman. Staff very responsive to your needs. Cons- RV spots very tight. Some spots views are blocked by tiny houses. If you have a large RV , your driving skills will be tested backing up out of the park. WIFI spotty at best.

Great place but a little tight getting in and out. We didn't have an issue luckily because our camper is smaller but some of the larger campers would def have to be an expert. The people are SUPER nice and gave us absolutely no issues at all! They were all so friendly and helped any way they could with anything we needed. I will say that if I go back I will probably stay in the Teir 2 section instead of Teir 1 because the little houses completely block the view in that area but the 2nd Teir was up high enough to where they could see over. Bath houses were super clean and the docks and everything was nice!

Wonderful place. Unfortunately, we ended up there during a tornado and flash flood warning. Campground manager and her staff were great making sure we we safe and had everything we needed to weather the storms. I had to stop one of the maintenance guys from working on my cable problem in the pouring rain. I appreciated his efforts, but his safety was more important. Cleanest bath houses I have ever experienced at a campground.

Jon Garrett

Nice lake location. Upper level lots get road noise. Many lots are being converted into tiny cabin lots. Park has no cell service and WiFi is also limited. There is no park store and no supplies within walking distance. Resturant across the street is excellent.

This was our second time at this location. It was our favorite sight 2 years ago with nice roomy and clean bathrooms and excellent views. This year we came and were very disappointed. The spot I had booked several months back had someone in there so we had to take another spot. The area was full of dog waste that we cleaned up. Also we discovered the water wasn’t working in the bathrooms and contacted the managers. The 3 nights we stayed there we could not utilize the facilities. Very disappointed as this has become more of weekly workers sight rather than a Rv resort

Susan Sexton

Place was pretty and clean but very very small. Nowhere to walk. Couldn’t walk on 150 - no shoulder. Plus - office needs a little store. We were there in Nov. If you go in the summer and plan on swimming - read Lake Norman’s history. Pretty scary.

I have to agree with Curtis Morgan. We have a 45’ Coach and backing out was tight and we scraped the bottom. You are backing into a hill and have to back up the hill all the way to the office. No store for any supplies, no pool, tv very limited. Even though we made our reservation online they did not have it in the system when we arrived. I had my confirmation so they made accommodations. We were there in early October and nothing going on. Tiki bar closed. Also there seemed to be a lot of contractors staying there and they all left for work at 5:00 am, using the only road out right by our bedroom. Very noisy. Unless you bring you own fire pit, no campfire. We stayed for two nights but can’t think that we would be back. Overpriced for what you get. More for full timers.

Curtis Morgan

Only stayed one night visiting family. For the high price we were disappointed. No WIFI even though they advertise free. We were on tier two which is very very tight. When backing in we were within inches of our 5th wheel cap touching the cap of the trailer across from us. There is no cell service for verizon and tmobile. To many trucks in each site makes it even harder to maneuver. The lake is nice along with the deck bar. Free paddle boards, kayaks & canoes. No swimming. The young lady in the office was awesome, friendly and helpful directing us into our site. But if you have issues backing then you might want to look elsewhere. Road into the sites are one way with no outlets, sites are angled so may be difficult to pull out . Resort is very clean and well maintained but to pricy for these full timers.

Chris Weiler

Nice place, great views, nice people. A little pricey but worth it if you use the facilities

Brigitte Geiger

We were looking for a place convenient to friends who live nearby. At 44 ft, we wouldn’t fit in most of their sites, but we did have a pull in with unobstructed views of the cove. Owners are terrific and greeted us several times a day by name. Used the kayaks and paddle boards and the cove water is clean and warm. We had a fully paved site and all roads are paved which cut down on road dust tremendously! Park WiFi was very slow, but we dealt with it. Several good restaurants close by with access to shopping . We will stay here again,

Such a wonderful staff!! They were helpful and attentive. However, the water amenities are poor and not taken care of with NO one to call for help. The row boat was missing a connective oar. The paddle boat was in poor condition. The bar was cute and a very nice bartender, but only beer/wine. The darts and bean bags were not regulation and extremely light to throw, so not much to do at the bar, which may have something to do with why there were so few people at the bar. Some bar games, dart tournament, pool table etc would bring people into the bar. Music was hard to hear, if any. Again, the employees were incredibly kind and the grounds were extemely well kept. We would definitely go there again, but would need some water sport instructions first and would bring our own fun to the bar.
