We called ahead for a one night stay, expecting to arrive at the campground around 5:oo. The owner said that the office closes a 4:oo but just call again and he would come to check us in. The campground has mostly seasonal trailers, so on this weekday we were able to have full hook ups with a beautiful view of the water close to the bank of the river. Most sites are in the open well maintained and level grass area. In the course of getting settled in, our dog escaped his lead and took off for parts unknown. A call to the owner and the dog warden resulted in a 2 1/2 hour search until our dog was finally recovered. We were so grateful for all the help and the exceptional kindness of the owner. He and his wife certainly went far above and beyond what most management would do. Many thanks again. This campground is a "hidden gem" that is great for an overnight stay or a longer visit. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
