Welcome to Indianhead Resort! Quiet, relaxing, peaceful– this is one of the few campgrounds where the classic tradition of camping, resting and relaxing amidst the quiet sounds of nature, has been preserved. The forest, in which its many campsites and motor home sites nestle, features hills and plateaus with vistas across the campground and out toward the sea. There is a mix of grassy, sunny, safari sites and spacious wooded sites which offer an outstanding camping experience for tents as well as RV’s of any size.

We are only 4 miles from the Sagamore Bridge and 10 minutes to downtown Plymouth where you can explore the Mayflower II and Plimoth Pawtuxet Museum. Avoid the Cape Cod traffic with us with so much to do and experience in the area!

Overall Rating: 3.5

This is a great campground. Very wooded and spacious sites. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

This is not a resort. I expected more. Camp store have very minimal stuff, bathrooms filthy and campsites were not cleaned before we got there. Cigarette butts and condoms! Also had a very upset seasonal camper that yelled at us because our dog barked occasionally. Would NOT recommend. đź‘Ž

The spot was a little smaller than we thought. But it was fine. The pond to swim was only cleaned out to a small section. But there were kayaks which was pretty cool. It was very peaceful. Good prices. We will definitely be back. There's a little store . Playground for the kids. My kids had a blast.

Campground Response

Hi Melanie, thank you so much for your feedback! We have significantly expanded our swimming area a few days ago so we would love if you'd come for another stay and check it out!

This is by far the worst campground I have been to. I ended up coming down with Covid right before my trip so I wasn't able to use the site. However, I was going with friends so another couple checked in under my name and used my site. I came to visit for a couple of hours one day and I was told that I had to pay $5 to visit the site, even though my site was paid in full and there were only 2 people staying on it. After argued with a teenager for about 20 minutes, I relented and paid the money to go to the site. When I got there, I was shocked at what I found. Not only did the site not have a fire pit, it had only one picnic table for 3 sites to share. Then I learned that (2) other groups that were there had visitors, none of which had to pay $ to visit their site. And the site they gave my friend with a camper was absolutely ridiculous. The site was way too small for the camper and they couldn't even put their overhang all the way out because the trees surrounding the site were too close. I will never, ever stay at this campground just from the few hours experience I had from visiting my site.

10/10 for quietness 10/10 for space provided 10/10 Ease of check in 2/10 for privacy 0/10 on the bathrooms, unclean, no locks on doors, bugs everywhere, showers had mold & other people’s hair stuck in the non skid mats, looked like someone squirted toilet bowl cleaner all over and never scrubbed the showers.

Rustic camping like from my childhood. Don't go here if you are looking to glamp, it's not the right place. But if you enjoy a nice shady campsite with access to a beautiful little swimming hole, canoe/kayak rentals, stocked pond and super-friendly, helpful staff, this is for you. I personally don't need access to 5 pools and a snack bar at a campground, I am CAMPING after all! Easy access to beaches, Shaws supermarket is 5 mins away as is a liquor store, solid restaurant options and you are not in a heavy traffic area like most of the cape and upper Plymouth. I will be back!

Indianhead is a nice, quiet and beautiful campground with a lack of maintenance but still been nice place for camping, I use my tent in a nice spot but showers water was really hot, restroom need some improvement and clean more time in the day. But for sure if you want a quiet place to rest at this time of the year Indianhead resort campground is the place.

We have been there 4 times in a row. Although they have no cable or WiFi, it's very wooded and usually quiet. They are dog friendly and I usually bring my 4 chihuahuas and it's not bad pricing. I use my Hotspot on my phone and stream anyway so I have a firestick or Samsung TV programs as well as Netflix so I don't mind. I have never used the showers ,the rest rooms, or the laundry facilities so I cannot comment on those. We go there just to get away with our travel trailer. overall, it's a great place to get away.

I'm only giving 2 stars because the bathroom facilities are very gross and we paid for full hook-ups but when we went to dump into the pipe, black water came back out and got on the ground because the pipe is clogged. The quiet was great but the site we were in had 3 sites in one small space so if there were other campers, we would all be in each others site. Office wasn't open when we checked out at 10:30.

Is the price/performance ratio right? Not for sure! The sanitary facilities are dirty (we haven't seen them cleaned in 4 days) and outdated. A lot of the campers are out partying, so you can forget about peace and quiet.
