Located in Sublette County on the west slope of the Wind River Mountain Range, Boulder and the " Big Town " of Pinedale, which is 12 miles to the north are in the heart of the best recreation area in the Rockies.  This area has hundreds of miles of hiking trails, crystal clear lakes and the best fishing in the West. If an active outdoor experience is not on your agenda, our county also has a fantastic Mountain Man Rendezvous in July, museums, rodeos and best of all, a peaceful view of the Wind River Mountain Range from your campsite! If Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks are your destination and it is just a little too far, we are an easy two-hour drive away. Conversely, if you have had a long day enjoying the parks and the Jackson Hole area this is a great opportunity to get away from the crowds and have a nice quiet night.

Here at Highline Trail RV Park we have any type of camp spot you will need. Anything from a simple grassy tent site to a 43' x 110' full service pull-through site for your BIG RIG. Our back is just as big, measuring 30'x75'. Our sites have lots of room to spread your wings.  All of our RV sites include water, sewer, and 50 or 30-amp electric service. Modern and clean restrooms and showers are on site as well as coin operated laundry. We also have WiFI throughout the park.

If you are coming from the South on I-80 you will turn north on Highway 191 in Rock Springs and travel 87 miles north and we are located on the right or mountain side of the road. Coming south from the Jackson Hole area you will travel 77 miles south on Highway 191 through Pinedale, then 12 miles to Boulder and we will be on the left side of the highway.

Since we are a small operation with less than 50 sites it is always a good idea to make a reservation ahead of time. If you make a reservation by email, we do require a phone call 48 hours in advance to confirm your site.  Sites are available for any length of stay from one night to seasonal.

Highline Trail RV did not work out for us. We arrived, and they had accidentally written our reservation down for the wrong day, so there were no spaces available. They offered to let us camp on the grass with no hookups for free, hence the one star. Luckily, we were able to find another spot not too far down the road but overall very disappointing last day of our trip. We won't try Highline Trail again.

Absolutely beautiful campground with huge sites and a view that can't be beat. Only reason its not a 5 star is the mosquitoes. I'm from South Carolina, we have mosquitoes almost year round, but this place was infested. Lots of standing water behind the campground and near continuous irrigation of the grass provided a fertile ground for the little beasts. 50% deet did not even slow them down. Used a bug zapper, large fire, and lots of bug spray to set outside for maybe an hour and still got chewed up. Great park, but need to address the standing water issue.

Campground Response

Sorry, the mosquitoes we can not control that. We are in the middle of farmland. The pond in the back of the park is always moving it's not standing it's all irrigation water.

Wonderful campground. Large, level lots with a lot of space between sites. Roaming horses keep the grass neatly trimmed. Planning on returning for a much longer stay.

We have stayed here several times when in the Pinedale area. Always the same good location, way way big pull through lots--possibly the biggest I have ever had. Plenty of grass to border the site, and a wide open sky full of stars at night. The gas station a mile away can handle my RV for fuel and they have the little things you need as a store. Good rates.....we will keep coming back.

Great campground with nice wide level sites. Only spent one night before starting our venture through the mountains to a campground in Idaho. I would book again if I ever travel through this area again.

We only stayed one night. The park was clean, sites level and easy to pull in to, and check in was quick and friendly. If you’re trying to decide between this park and the RV park down the road (Wind River I think it’s called), this one is much nicer based on the view from the road.

The campground is great and the staff is amazing. Clean and well cared for! Will stay again and highly recommend the campground!!!!!

Kevin Norlin

Nice park - clean, easy to access, plenty of space, great grounds for walking dogs. Real nice place to stay on the way up to Yellowstone.

Ross Schmidt

A peaceful retreat away from the busyness of Jackson. Very good access to the Wind River Range. I appreciated the very clean rest rooms and shower! Highly recommend.

Bo, the owner has Made this one of the best RV parks in the country. So accommodating and friendly. Spent 17 days there and didn’t want to leave. The grounds are kept in immaculate shape. If I could give this a ten star review they would get it. Well worth booking if your trip is in the Pinedale, Wyoming area.

Campground Response

Thank you for the review. Hope to see you again

We were there for 5 days, I booked our reservation in Jan. 2020 (the key word is RESERVATION), I booked a pull through site, but upon arrival I was given a BACKIN site (RESERVATION 7 months in advance), wide sites etc. BUT the MOSQUITOS are terrible, you can not sit out on your site at night, the pond does not help as far as breeding grounds! If you can not honor a reservation, I will not be back (RESERVATION 7 months in advance), I asked twice after arrival for a pull through and was told "NOPE"

Campground Response

Hello Mr.Jackson, As I said when you check in I am turly sorry that a pull through was not availabe for you when you check in. At the time you made the reservation I had all my pull throughts booked, in 2019, beacuse of The Green River Mountain Man Redezous. For the mosquitoes we do spray for them and as well as the county. Sublette county sprayed about the time you checked in. We try our best to control the mosquitoes. We do try our best to make everyone here feel at home and comfortable. I really hope that you will come back and see us here at Highline Trail RV Park in Boulder. God Bless
