Campground Response
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay, Suzanne! Yeh, that I-70 can be a bear in the winter but we're happy to be there for weary travelers or when it's just a bit too dangerous to drive. We'd love to have you visit again. Enjoy Colorado!
Pamela Lambert
Campground Response
Thank you, Pamela! We look forward to your next visit. Have a fantastic time!
D S
Campground Response
Thanks, D! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Safe travels.
RUSSELL MILLER
Campground Response
Thanks, Russ! As owners, it is our top priorities to be amiable and accommodating to our guests. Course, it's not that hard - it's in our nature and our guests are outgoing as well. The credit of our clean bathrooms goes to one of our staff, Mona. That's ALL her!!! Good job, Mona!!! Jay is our new park manager, and he is equally friendly and accommodating! Safe travels! Hope to see you again!
Mark Schuttler
Campground Response
Thanks, Mark! We really enjoyed our visits with you. I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay and visit to Oakley. What a neat little town and fantastic people! I really enjoyed the Buffalo Bill and Fick Fossil museums too. Enjoy your travels this winter and circle back around to see us!
Richard Rowe
Campground Response
Thanks, Richard. One of our top priorities is friendliness and since we're the only campground along I-70 that can stay open in the winter because of our water hydrants, we have to protect them. I'm surprised about your comment that the sites are close, though. The average measurement between pedestals is 36 feet! That doesn't seem close to me. Course I've been to San Francisco...now those sites are close!!! LOLOL! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Safe travels and come see us again!
Joel Schmidt
Campground Response
Glad to help, Joel! Enjoy your travels and come back to see us soon!

I'm glad Mary! Safe travels!
KELCEY WEBB
Campground Response
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay Kelcey. Unfortunately (like many RV parks near off ramps in rural areas), the police cannot ticket the truck drivers for using their jake break because there is no statue against it. We can only call and complain so much, but it would help if every guest were to call the county sheriff and complain...it would make more of an impact. As for the "stickers", we are actively working on killing the plant and collecting the goat heads and burrs but as you can imagine it's a labor-intensive, time-consuming process. It'll get better in the spring when they soften and hopefully most will be gone by then. All that said, I would've hoped our beaming personality and cafe would've earned us more than one star...LOL! Thanks for staying and we hope to see you again.
Linda Bookout
Campground Response
Hi Linda. We are actively working on the goat heads and burrs but to let you and others know, it's actually worse right now because it's not summer. It seems since fall and the plants are going dormant, the burrs and goat heads are drying and falling off the plants, whereas in the summer they are growing and green making about half of them soft and pliable or essentially less annoying. So, in summer they actually not as offensive. That said, we are actively killing the plant without hurting the environment. Thank you for staying with us. I encourage you to stop again someday...even this summer.
Seth Portwood
Campground Response
Thanks, Seth! We are conveniently located for an enjoyable stop...or extended stay so you have time to see all the tourist sites around the area. Looking forward to your next visit. Safe travels!
Gary Koptak
Campground Response
Glad to hear that, Gary. We look forward to your next visit! Have a great trip!
Traci Welch
Campground Response
Thank you for the well-wishes, Traci! We're glad you enjoyed the Mexican restaurant - it's a family operation and those boys have put a lot of work into creating a really neat space to eat. We wish them the best! Sorry about the jake breaks. They're not supposed to use them, but they still do. They don't seem to bother me once I fall asleep though. Enjoy you trip!
Lilliana Trinchero
Campground Response
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, Lilliana. It was our pleasure to help you get your Jeep started again. Enjoy the rest of your travels!
Brian Bradosky
Campground Response
Thank you, Brian! I'm so pleased you had a nice stay at our campground. Kudos to Mona on her great job keeping our bathrooms, showers, laundry, and Cafe clean. We look forward to your next visit. Drive safely and enjoy your travels!
Campground Response
I'm sorry you didn't have a nicer experience and that your check in was just "ok". We strive to make sure every guest feels welcomed and to let them know about all the services and things to do nearby if interested. There certainly are a lot of pamphlets right next to our front door to peruse for "things to do". As for food options, there is pizza at the campground that is getting rave reviews along with a Mexican restaurant next door and awesome family dining in the town of Oakley just 5 miles away. Additionally, many guests enjoy visiting the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and Fick Fossil Museum in Oakley as well as Monument Rocks, Little Jerusalem, and Keystone Gallery about 30 minutes away. Of course, we're always open to conversation about your stay as it is our goal to have every camper leave happy on the road to their next adventure. I would love to chat with you, so I may glean a little better understanding about the less than stellar stay you had at our park. You're welcome to call the office at 785-672-3538 or call my cell phone directly at 907-230-6968. Thank you for your feedback. Safe travels.

Campground Response
Wow! Your favorite! I am very happy to hear that, Nancy, and even more pleased that you enjoyed your stay!!! Mona is awesome at taking care of our janitorial needs, so all the credit goes to her on our "spotless" bathrooms! Please do visit us again if you're traveling in the area. Take care!
Tyler Michaels

I'm so glad you feel comfortable here, Gary. It is important that we stick together and help each other. I too feel like we're family with our guests...long-term and short-term. Don't be stranger, tho, come visit us in the office or have dinner with us in the cafe now and again. Have a great day!
