Overall, we had a nice visit. I was extremely disappointed in the firewood we purchased. We purchased a "bucket" at $40 dollars. What was delivered was mainly 2 foot long, 4 x 4 post scraps. They didn't even fit in the fire ring. Made having an evening fire extremely frustrating.

Arrive before dark. There was no one at the office to help us locate our spot and it is very dark. Once we found our spot, we figured out our hook ups were on the opposite side. Other campers said they had the same issue and had to move spots. It was very unorganized. Once we figured everything out things were great! Just highly recommend not getting there after dark.

Campground Response

Hey Christina! We are very glad to hear your difficulties on arrival did not impact the rest of your stay and hope you decide to join us again. If those after dark confusions do arise in the future, please give our onsite manager a call with the number provided outside the front office. Our manager and staff will be glad to help :)

Overall our stay was pleasant, bathrooms were clean, and staff was very nice. On Saturday night a seasonal camper was playing music too loud. We were located across the field from the seasonal site and found hard to have a conversation over the music. Some of the music played wasn't kid friendly. We have visited this campground for many years, but likely not return in the future.

Our first time here was a great experience. The grandkids had so much fun. One suggestion.....the pavilion could really use a power wash. The kids game were here and the evening DJ. The pavement and tables had lots of bird poop. No other issues.

Campground Response

Thanks Linda for taking your time to review our campground. It was great to hear your family enjoyed their stay. We are working with our maintenance staff on the cleaning of the pavilion for future use. We look forward to you and your family camping with us again. Thanks

Had a great time was there for the st Jude’s charity event June 9th. The staff were friendly and helpful all weekend. Lot of things going on that day had our granddaughter with us and she really enjoyed the water slide. My wife Participated in the bags tournament and had a great time. Will definitely come back soon.

Amenities were nice, green grass campsites with working water, electricity, and sewer however the shower house was absolutely disgusting. It was not maintained at all and considering the daily rate, was disappointed in the lack of staff and friendly service. The swimming pool was nice but many toilets by the pool were out of order. The lack of communication from the campsite was also very poor. The website states they will respond in 72 hours and when we requested a spot 6 MONTHS in advance (we wanted to be there during the July 4th week), we had to call (don’t bother, no one answers the phone and you can’t leave messages because it voicemail is full). We had to email several times ONE MONTH later!!!!! That was so frustrating, no explanation, no communication whatsoever. Since we were there to see family, the location was a major consideration. The campsite could easily manage this problems with improved communication and invest some money into staff that maintain the facilities. The resort has many full time campers so maybe they don’t worry about the occasional weekend campers.

My grandkids love going to Evening Star Campground, the pool is fun, there are lots of kids to play with and have cool music playing on the weekends they can dance to all night long. Thanks Janet for another great experience, can't wait to come back soon!

Very disappointed!! It was Memorial Day weekend. They didn’t have the swimming pool open. Had some lame excuse. It was my daughter and son and their family’s all camping together. We were looking forward to going swimming. The pond that was supposedly stocked a week ago had no fish. No one was catching anything. The night crawlers they sold us at the store were frozen. The one and only good thing was the actual people that stayed there in the campground. They were so helpful. Also, being with family.

We have stayed here before and I don’t recall having water pressure issues but, the governors on the water spigot only allowed a half turn which made for very limited pressure. We ran the water internally, unacceptable.

First time camping for my husband and I since we were kids. We did tent camping and LOVED every day of it. Was easy to book through RoverPass and no issues at all. They have every you need if you forget something!! Will be back with the kids!!!!
