We had a great time swimming and tent camping. All the great things you’d want while camping. Great scenery, stars and fireflies. Thanks so much!

Had a wonderful time over Memorial Day weekend. We had 5 campsites and all were nice and roomy. The kids loved the planned activities. There was plenty to do for the kids as well as adults. The tie-dye was great and so was the entertainment, especially the Stone Cold Cowboy's band on Sunday night. This was our second time here and have already booked for July 4th and Labor Day. the staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

It was the most unorganized campground I have ever been too. The sewer was full, no water and if you had water it was brown. You were packed in like sardines. I highly doubt we will go back. Over and double booked.

Wonderful hospitality and beautiful view of the stars at night. We only stayed one night but would definitely stop again if we were in the area

We showed up to camp the weekend of Oct 13th in our tent. My kids were so excited about the halloween costume contest, and all the extra activites they had planned. When we showed up the lady at front desk wasn’t the friendliest, but that’s ok. She told us the bathrooms were broke where the tent site was that we were camping at, but they were upgrading us. That sounded fine except the spot we were upgraded to was surrounded by campers and facing the highway. Where are the trees?! There wasn’t even a fire ring for us. Looked like there had been one at some point. Everything looked run down. It just wasn’t a pretty piece of property at all! The website was very misleading. The putt putt golf course was in bad condition. The 2 pool tables and the air hockey table were covered with junk items as storage tables, so unusable. The place was just very dated. As for activies that she had said were on going on when we got there at that time..like pumpkin decorating... No-one was at either pavilion. We drove around the campsite a couple times thinking this place has got to be better and it just wasn’t! :( We asked for a full refund, they said yes if we call back the following Monday the manager would refund our full amount. Talked with a gentlemen who was very nice that Monday and I didn’t have to explain anything and he said “oh...yes I remember and I don’t blame you at all with the bathrooms being out and the spot where we placed you at.” He just wasn’t sure how to do the refund and said the manger would contact me. The manager kept our deposit and only issued a partial refund. $40 is a lot for a tent site not counting $8 extra in cash I paid for for electric(got the $8 back), so we paid $25 with $15 not be refunded as told. Just absurd all the way around.

Great oasis in the cornfields of Illinois. Grass and shade. Full hookups are nice. Nice pool and grounds. Small bathrooms/showers look nice from outside but need severe cleaning and paint/repair inside. Will go back in our RV.

We love camping at Evening Star. It is a regular spot for us. We love all the activities they have planned most weekends. It is a great mix of fun for kids and adults! The bathrooms/showers are kept clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Went over Memorial Day weekend. Overall the park is ok, however, they really need to spray for bugs - we were so overwhelmed by them that we cut our stay short by two days.

I took my nieces here this summer and had a blast. Our favorite part by far was how many great kid-friendly events they had and there was plenty of room for the two younger kids to run around and socialize. We tent-camped, and that was pretty fun. The park had great facilities, and I liked that the laundry facilities were clean and the convenience store was pretty well-stocked. We even got some face time with Rick the owner who was really nice, and told us about some nearby local attractions. We did end up visiting a few of them and even spent the day at the Henry Allan Gleason Nature Preserve. Will return soon!
