We have stayed here before and I don’t recall having water pressure issues but, the governors on the water spigot only allowed a half turn which made for very limited pressure. We ran the water internally, unacceptable.

First time camping for my husband and I since we were kids. We did tent camping and LOVED every day of it. Was easy to book through RoverPass and no issues at all. They have every you need if you forget something!! Will be back with the kids!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Evening Star. The pool was very nice. They were very accommodating and helpful. As I was leaving, I realized my step wouldn’t work. Kelly crawled under the RV, which has very limited clearance, and he did this in wet sand. He worked on it for over a half hour and was finally was able to fix it temporarily so I could drive home. I will definitely stay there again.

I used to come to the campground years ago. Unfortunately, the facility is not what it once was. The condition of the restrooms and shower were less than desire able. The fishing pond could definitely use some rehab. It has turned into more of a full time trailer park than a camp ground. I take no pleasure in writing this as it is sad to see a place from my past in it's current state. Best of luck to the current owners ,you've got a lot of work ahead of you.

My group was not happy with our stay. The office/ store smelled very bad. You could smell it before you walked in. We didn’t shower the 2 days we were there because the showered were nasty. We tent camped and all of the areas for tents were cover in any hills. We ended up with tons of ants on our tent. Unfortunately I only looked at pictures and didn’t read the reviews of this camp ground. The extra activities they have were ran down and not taken care of. There ended up not being much to do. Also the store I guess doesn’t have any set hours during the week so if we need something we’d have to go the the office and see if anyone was there is not we’d have to call them and sit around and wait until they had time to get up to the office.

The setting was nice, with good places to park our RVs. There is a nice park for the children and a pool. A little disgusted by the pen there for goats. Not well kept and almost entirely sand. Very sad state to keep animals

Looks like they are making improvements. It would be nice if the store was open. Very well maintained.

Seems like a nice place, they have something going on every weekend. Only downside is that there are lots of people, close together and lots of dogs. During the week it is really quiet.

This campgrounds has so much potential! IF things were changed. The sites were not marked, just sand/grass spots, if it wasn't for the power boxes you were at a loss. Narrow roads, people parking vehicles, trailers and golf carts all over the place. Also needs rock on the roads. Plenty of trees and space, bathhouse could use a fresh coat of paint, and better shower heads. Like I said nice place, just needs better managed, and updated. We might come back.

Not the friendliest of hosts or staff. The staff did not follow Illinois Covid-19 guidelines. Most sites had been converted to seasonal-- More than shared on their website. Sad, as it rappeares to be an rv trailer park. Polarity reversed on 50 amp sites...plug in at own risk. Sites were overlapping. Got to know your neighbors. Purchased wood and was told it would be delivered to our campsite. Several hours later, called the office and was told they had gotten busy and we should come get it ourselves. Okay. No problem. Oh wait...thry had no firewood prepared for sale. Had to wait for a handyman to come a split the wood. Very unorganized. We tried it, as it was local. Will not be returning.

we love the place this was our 2nd time staying their and it was memorial day weekend. the camp sites aren't well defined so when it's crowded it is pretty much a free for all trying to get to your hook ups. but fun place we will be back.

I do not understand the good reviews for this campground. First our campsite. we went to dinner on our first night ,when we got back there was another group of campers right behind us leaving us no place to park our car. My husband went to the restroom at the campground he walked in and back out. When he got back to the RV his clothes smelled so bad ( once again from just walking in and right back out) he had to take a shower ,and his clothes had to stay outside. A friend of our was playing at the pavilion we went to hear him .On our way back we were screamed at by one of the seasonal people for walking by there campsite. We did not walk through their site just by it. We belong to a group of TIFFIN /NEWMAR OWNERS. All of which had camped there in the past with the old owners. All had similar experiences with the new owners. So not only will we not be coming back but none of our group approx 20 RVs will not be back.
