Sites are crammed together. The dock is in horrible condition. Absolutely disgusting bath houses. What ever you do avoid it! Most of the seasonals look like meth labs.

At registration Employees too busy taking of her children. Way over paid for this campground! Seasonal section looks bad like homeless, not a campground. For Us and our neighbors Both first time here, we will not be back. You expect For $60/nite cable would be included. (Not available)

The campsite is located in a nice area. Loved the app operated washer and dryer (no need for coins). Camp sites are located too close to each other.

We spent two nice, quiet nights at Duck Neck campground. We had a site with a river view and saw two beautiful sunsets.

We had a good time. Pool was nice, kind staff, big pier, beach. Cons: some spots are very small. We had spots H2 and H3 and only one of us could extend our awning we were so close to our neighbor. Also, the water source is in the front of the campsite while the sewage and electric are in the back. Make sure you have an extra long water hose!!! We went without water because ours was short and the store didn’t have any hoses. We will be returning, just more prepared and with spots in mind this time!

Had a great time at Duck Neck. If you crave river access this is the place. We enjoyed the day kayaking on the Chester River. We stayed on the waterfront site #28. Had a Awesome view of the river and the beautiful sunsets, and birds fishing on the river. Another high point was the pool, very clean and the water was perfect temp. The site is self was a good size enough room to park comfortably, with plenty of room to park your tow vehicle. Like many have said if you stay on sites 1 thru 20 they are much smaller but everyone parked there this weekend seemed to be having a great time. The only reason we I took a couple of stars off is because the our site had some garbage we had to clean up when we arrived. Also the dumpster near the bathhouse needed to be empty and the smell was horrible. And finally we were not sure why we were smelling sewage all around. Part of might have been from our neighbor who did not use a Sewer Adapter and just shoved a hose down the pipe, and a site across from us had a 10 foot vent (not sure what to call it) stuck in there sewage at the site. Would have asked someone from the park but we did not see anyone all weekend other then the teenagers working the ice cream window. For those concerned about COVID-19 the campground did an excellent job with measures to reduce the risk of transmission. All in all with its faults we would stay again if we got site 28, 29 or 30, they have the best views.

Campground Response

I'm glad you had a great time. I apologize if someone left trash behind. We will be sure to make improvements. The dumpster gets emptied on Mondays. I would have liked for you to bring the sewage concern to our attention. We have a manager on staff and on site at all times. We do look forward to your return.

Had a great time over the 4th. Happy pool was opened too. A bit rowdy, but super nice people. We needed that after quarantining. Owners and maintenance were exceptional. We will be back.

Campground Response

So glad to hear you had a great time! We look forward to having you camp with us again!

Skip it! Sights are WAY too close together. There was no room for our neighbor to open their awning and one the other side, the neighbors sewer pipe was less than 5 steps from our entry door. This campground could be so much more if the transient sites were bigger and seasonal sites were better maintained. A lot of drunks and unattended dogs running freely. I posted a similar google review and the campground called with an explanation that their sites are 50yrs old and were made when campers were smaller. They offered to have us back and I declined. It’s not worth it until the sites are at least doubled in size and the seasonal side is cleaned up to not look so junk yard like.

We came Memorial Day, it was quiet and peaceful. We had the best spot on the water for hanging out and the views. Nothing of course was open because of the Covid virus. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the people who stay on site long time did not wear masks or understood social distancing. Will return 100%

Campground Response

Thank you for your kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed yourself. We look forward to your return.

Everyone was so friendly, from fellow campers helping to back in to office staff. Everyone waves! Great location, peaceful. Historic Chestertown is minutes away. I was there for deer hunting in October but will return in the summer.

Campground Response

So glad you enjoyed yourself. We look forward to having you back this summer!

What really impacted us was the narrow width of our site. The rigs and trucks were packed like sardines. Neighbor Noise and conversation were magnified.

Campground Response

We appreciate your feedback. With the campground being 40+ years old, campers back then weren't as big as they are today. Our newer sites (water front, water view & N section) have a lot more space.

This is our second time staying at Duck Neck and we love it! It's off the beaten path, so very quiet. The sunsets over the river are amazing. We didn't stay in a waterfront site, but will next time! It's a nice no-frills place with friendly staff.

Campground Response

Christine, thank you so much for your kind words. We enjoyed having you and look forward to your return.

This place was breathtaking and I am very glad we found it. The staff was so nice and helpful. There was a great array of sites to choose from for all kinds of camping styles and rig sizes! There were all the amenities we could ask for that took care of our needs. There was some very fun and relaxing activities as well that would excite anyone in the family. The location was almost perfect as I don’t think anything is perfect but it was great, many stunning and beautiful views from all over and great places to visit a short drive away. We can’t wait to go back. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
