The only reason we didn't rate it a 5 was the noise from the highway. The site had water, electricity and sewer. It was level. The hosts were easy to work with.

It's a good place to stay in the upper Buffalo area if you want electricity, wifi, cell signal, etcetera. The bathrooms are small but well kept. The showers work well, but the facilities are showing their age. Doors stick and wires are exposed in the laundry area. I'm hoping the new owners can put some money into improving the facilities a bit.

Very scenic and central to hiking and canoeing. Bathrooms small but very clean always. Kind of close quarters with others camping or in cabins. Dogs barking at night a distraction. Would stay there again

Dogwood Springs Campground is one of our favorite places to take our RV. The campsites are shaded, full hook-ups, friendly staff, and it's located near tons of hiking locations.

What a neat place to stay! So cozy and made for the perfect weekend getaway. Will defiantly stay again. Easy to find, owners were wonderful to work with. Great communication. We loved it.

No amenities such as towels, sheets, shower soap and bedspread. Also, no instructions for the TV. and if you are not familiar with Rocu with three controllers, you are left spending time figuring the system out. The price was OK at $64 per night, but after add ons; not so much. It was clean and a great location to downtown Jasper.

Campground Response

We would be happy to provide amenities, but one reason our campers like our place is because our rates are so low. They don’t usually mind bringing their own sheets, especially during these times, to save some money with us. It’s also clearly marked on our website that we aren’t providing bedding right now due to covid.

We stayed in a comfortable, cozy cabin. The cabin was clean, the water was hot and the bed was comfortable. The camp host, Caleb was friendly and very kind to my dog. The camp also offered doggie daycare , a great service because dogs were not allowed on many of the hiking trails. I really enjoyed staying at Dogwood Springs

We loved the family/pet friendly atmosphere. We stayed in Cabin #27 and it was perfect! We stopped at Walmart in Harrison before checking in and picked up grocery to cook during our stay. the kitchenette and our cabin had dishes such as pots and pans and a couple of utensils to use. I would recommend though if you're cooking for more than two people to maybe pack your own as all of the pots and pans were very small. We did use the grill outside as well and it worked all right. The only reason that I couldn't give a five-star review is that the bathroom didn't have a shower head so the water just kind of sprayed out at you. and management did not enforce people to clean up after their pets so when we were walking our dog there was piles of poop. They also did not enforce the animals to be on leashes so there was one dog that was just kind of running around by their RV and barking at everybody that walked past. They also didn't enforce dogs to be quiet after quiet time had started for the night so you could often hear dogs barking At the tent sites. Other than those really small issues we truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was small but nice and clean and the kids enjoyed the pool. The ladies that run the place were very nice. I actually came across a job I needed to apply to while I was there and they helped me scan my application so I could get it submitted. Excellent customer service! And they watched my in laws dogs one day.

My husband and I stayed at Dogwood Springs campground (tent sites) on 9/5 & 9/6. The campsites were so close together you had absolutely no privacy. We had friends staying in the campsite by ours. Our friends had a flat on their tire due to running over something on the gravel road attempting to get to their site. The road (narrow gravel pathway) you had to drive on to get to your site was very narrow, very loose gravel, causing several cars to spin their tires climbing the hills. The gravel roads had deep ruts casing it hard to climb. We had payed for a campsite with electric and water. That consisted of sharing an outlet with the campers next to us. It allowed us to have one extension cord and also them one plug in. The water was a water hose 2 sites up in another persons camp site. The sites were not clean and had muddy pad areas with no gravel. Very dirty! Your tent was right up to the fire pit and your car had barely enough room to park. There is only one women's toilet and one men's toilet causing a line in the morning to get to the restroom. Only one shower for each also. I went to the small pool for one hour. It was only children with no adult supervision the entire time I was there and most of the times I drove by. One of the youth I believe was the owner's son. I never saw the owner at the pool. Our friends staying next to us were coming over to dinner one night. He fell hard on the ground due to the loose gravel and hills you had to walk on to get around the campground. It was dangerous to walk or drive on the gravel. I would not recommend this site to anyone until some repairs and updates are completed. It has a lot of safety risk that need repaired immediately before someone gets hurt or injured.

Campground Response

Sorry you did not enjoy tour stay at our campground! We were a bit busier than usual with the holiday weekend. We know the gravel at the bottom of the hill is a problem and it’s being resolved this week. We tried to fix it last week, but all the rain we had changed those plans. As for the pool, some of these assumptions are inaccurate. Our children are always supervised while in the pool, the child you saw was a camper. The pool also says “swim at your own risk” in several places, but we do expect children to be supervised by their parents. We acquired this camp ground in March and are trying to slowly make improvements as we can. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay with us though.

The only reason I gas 3 stars is because the people were very nice! The camp site sucked !!!! It was too narrow with trees on each side at the entrance of our site , which made it difficult to maneuver between while turning to get out. There was just too much cramped into a small space!!!!!!! Also the water smelled and wasn't clear. After taking a shower in my camper I smelled the odor from the water on me for a while. Where I parked my camper was paved , which was okay , but if you stepped off the edge you better be careful. It was very hard to walk on because it was so unlevel. Just not the experience I expected! 🤔

It was a great experience. The campground was quiet, the bathrooms were cleaned daily, and the cabin was very clean. There was lots of shade. there was even a play area with kids with a pretty nice swing set and climbing rope on the end as well as a tetherball. The managers were very friendly. I will definitely try to stay here again on my next trip to Jasper.

Perfect campsite! Cabin #4 fit our group of 3 comfortably and the staff was so kind during our stay. The location was great as it is a super short drive or walk to the grocery store, just down the road from most of the other stores and cafes in Jasper, and was an easy drive to the hikes we wanted to do over our weekend. The hot showers at the campgrounds were amazing at the end of the long day.

Online it looked like a decent place to stay. It looks nothing like it does in the pictures. The showers are disgusting and moldy. We did not have anything on but our lights and air and it threw the breaker 3 times in one night. It is a tight squeeze. We have room for our RV, but that is it. Some of the reviews said it had a nice view. That is a lie. There is not any nice views. All you can see is other campers around you because we are all tightly packed together. We did like the small park and pool they had there, but we WILL NOT be staying here again! I have pictures of the moldy showers, but it won't let me add them to my review. They need to have more pictures of the campsites so people know that it's not good. The three pictures that they have look decent enough, but the rest of the campground is not good. We did have a good time on the Buffalo River and hiking, but we are very disappointed with this campsite and will not be staying here again. For $36 a night, we expected it to be better.

Campground Response

Sorry to hear you did not have a good stay at our campground. We are the new owners and are working on improvements as we can with this crazy Covid year. The showers are on our list and they are being worked on this week.

Very small campgrounds. All gravel even where you put your tent at! Down hill. Very uncomfortable . Other than that was a nice peaceful place to camp!
