Great place to stay. We hit a weekend where their were lots of fishermen. Only thing we would suggest is more parking, it’s was tight with all the boats. Great staff and quiet place to stay. Golf was amazing too.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, this time of year is very busy with all the salmon fishing. We are currently working on the parking issue and have just installed curbs to help identify paid parking spots for the boats, etc.. Hope to see you again in the future!

Annual family vacation. The golf was good and the rental house outstanding.

The Spaces were clean and the utilities were all working well. The staff was very courteous. A special thanks to a Pro Shop worker, Dick, who let me use some of his tennis rackets so my 5 grandchildren could play. Overall the stay was very pleasant. My husband and I are not use to camping so close to the next camper. That was a drawback for us. And a dog that was not always supervised doing his business in our grassy area where the kids were playing. They are all country kids so they cleaned it up. Thank you for hospitality.

The spot are close together and could not get the wi-fi in spot . I think it is too expensive for just water, sewer and electric.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. We apologize for the issue with the wifi, unfortunately the supplier we currently have has had some issues, which is something we are looking in to. Sites 1 - 8 are the old sites built back when RV's were much smaller, which is why we are in the process of expanding and adding new larger sites.

Overall experience was good for RV parking, RVs close together but people are friendly. We stayed for a couple nights and got to go swimming in the Columbia. Desert air is a large resort and we were amazed that there was not a Established restaurant for people to eat at, But primarily it’s a retirement community so I guess that is not expected. I would definitely recommend RV choosing the facility, It’s a beautiful place and a beautiful location along the Columbia.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay in Desert Aire! There are two restaurants at the main entrance to Desert Aire, but none close to the RV Park at this time. We hope you will come back again!

Poor assistance at check in. Couldnt find showers, no map. Camping very close together. If you're a golfer you would like as putting green right by camping.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review and comments. Unfortunately, we are still in the construction stages of the RV Park as noted on the website, so we have not been able to provide an updated map. Also noted is that shower cards are for purchase in the Pro Shop, and if purchased you would have been directed where to access the showers. Once construction is completed, there will be an information board and all sites will be visibly marked so you can just pull into the booked site without checking in.

had an awesome time. played golf for three days and explored some of the area. however, I really wish they wouldnt have the sprinklers timed for 10 am. the first day I didnt know this was a thing so all our stuff that was not inside the rv, the carpet, shoes, hiking boots, etc...were soaking wet after we returned from our round of golf. Second day I got soaked while prepping for the 11 am checkout time. Grass should be watered after dark..however it was a great weekend and the greens are rolling exceptionally well as usual.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. The watering time has been an issue that the grounds crew and management are looking into for the future. Hope to see you again soon!

I wish they'd have a different time to run the sprinkler system. Very disruptive to have to rush the morning breakfast because of the 10:00 am run.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. We will address your complaint and see if there are any changes that can be incorporated.

Perfect size lot, full hook ups and staff are all outstanding. Only suggestion would be, to change the time the sprinklers come on, maybe at 1-2am, instead of 10am.

Campground Response

Thank you for the review and we hope you enjoyed your stay. The grounds crew has discussed the sprinkler timing and we will let them know your suggestion. Hope to see you again soon!

Friendly, easy access. Each site has water, electric & sewer, no cable though. We forgot our water hose, and although they didn't sell any at the clubhouse, they borrowed one from a neighbor for our stay, such great service! Even offered to help guide us in to park, and stopped by to make sure we had gotten settled. Close to the river and boat launch, but you will want to drive. Great for golf stay and play!

We stayed over the Independence Day weekend. We brought our golf cart and joined into the golf cart parade. The site was a block away from the Columbia river and right next to the putting Green. WiFi was a bit week, but allowed us to stream movies just fine. We were the first to stay in the new spots and had ample room for our 23 foot toy hauler, truck and golf cart.

Campground Response

We glad you enjoyed your stay! That holiday weekend is really a big one for our community and I'm sure you had front row to the fireworks show. Hope to see you again!

Great spot for a getaway. Golf, tennis, a nice park for kids, Priest Rapids Rec Area, and community pool are all realistically within walking distance. We’ve already booked for the Fourth of July. We stayed June 13-14 and looks like that more spaces are going in. I gave it a four star because of the size of the spaces. All in all a great place for the family.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. We think it's a great place for a visit or live. Enjoy your next stay and hopefully many more!

Beautiful Golf Course. Too windy for my high handicap, though.. Would like to come back and play some time. RV Facilities left a little to be desired, WIFI was good enough to stream most of the time, but would like to see Cable TV. It looks like the RV Area is undergoing some upgrading..

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. Yes, the wind can be a bit challenging at times in Desert Aire, unfortunately that's something we can't control. This is our renovation year, adding several new sites ... so hopefully we'll see you again next year or later this summer!

This was our first time staying in the RV park. Sites are nice and level. Such great access to golf, tennis and the walking/bike path at the river. We will definitely be back.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review, ... we are looking forward to seeing you again!

I’ve been staying here for over 10 years. Great place to stay if you enjoy golfing, swimming, and the sun. The campground is under construction currently so you just have to get past the dust storms as the wind does blow. I’d say that’s the only issue. I’d definitely recommend.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review! We are really looking forward to when all the work is completed and we have 17 total sites with nice grounds for our campers!
