We go every year in the summer. But we decided to go in the fall as well. It was so beautiful with all the leaves changing. The camp ground is soo friendly and helpful. We went down for the Halloween activities. Steve and Shelly are so nice and take very good care of there place. Can't wait till go again next year.

We love this cabin and this camp ground. People are so friendly. Fishing was great. This is our third time renting this cabin and definitely won't be the last.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Cross Creek. Our hosts (Steve, Shelly, and Kelly) couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Our spot (#33) was reasonably level, and Steve even provided "back in assistance" upon arrival. The water was clean, the electricity was problem free, and the sewer hookup did its job. The ONLY downside with this campground is the road that takes you approximately 1 mile from a paved road (W) down to the campsite. As others have noted, it's not great, but if you take your time and drive slowly its manageable. The campground is relatively adjacent to the Bagwell Dam area, with its assortment of shops and restaurants. You're 10-15 minutes away from all of the big box stores you'll need for extra supplies, and there's a friendly RV dealership (Unlimited RV) that's close as well for any emergencies that may arise. During the season, be sure to check out happy hour at JB Hooks restaurant, which runs from 3-9 p.m. The views are terrific and the food is phenomenal. We also enjoyed hiking at Ha Ha Tonka State Park (20+ minute drive from the campground), where admission is free and you can see the old castle ruins. I'd also like to give a shout out to Leighton's Cigar store - good folk.

Very friendly park. Lots to do, lake with boat rental, catch and release fishing, mini golf course, pool and a nice playground. Very pet friendly and surprisingly quiet. Our only issue was getting in and out, rough gravel road with really steep incline. Lots of full timers and we joked that the reason was they drove in but could not pull their rigs out. All and all nice place. Close to fun activities.

We do alot of camping and Cross Creek is our favorite spot. Your nestled back in the woods. Looking out our front door was the big pond with fish and ducks all having a good time. The pond view made it our favorite. Kelly, our camphost was awsome. He greeted us when we arrived at our spot and help us parked. A huge plus. He visited with us daily. He was fun to visit with. This place is a A+.

We really enjoy camping on the island at Cross Creek. As tent camping goes, it’s luxurious, with a flush toilet and electrical outlet! The view of the lake, especially at sunrise, is spectacular. It’s very peaceful and clean, and the owners and hosts are helpful and friendly. We’ve visited many times and are sure to be back next year!

This was our first trip out with the new travel trailer and Cross Creek was a great place to break her in. The staff was friendly and responsive. You can purchase firewood from them and they will deliver it right next to your fire pit. There are some long term renters there who are very friendly as well. The road to the RV Park entrance is rough gravel with a few turns and hills. But even a full size motorhome was able to drive it with no problems. We would definitely stay here again.

They would have gotten 5 stars if not for the entrance road. Wonderful place to stay. Friendly owners. Go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

We camped at Cross Creek for bike fest had a great time the people at cross creek were so accommodating we have never had that kind of service anywhere we have ever camped in the past, they even helped us unload our camper, nice clean bathrooms! My only complaint would be the mile and a half gravel road that you had to travel to get to the campsite.

The owners Steve and Shelly are wonderful people and the campground is clean and well maintained. We did not spend much time in the campground during the day as we were in town for the Lake of the Ozarks bike rally. We enjoyed our evenings with friends talking by the campfire. The evenings are peaceful and the other campers were very nice. Only downfall is the 1.5 mile gravel road entrance to the campground so if you like a clean car or bike this may not be for you but if peace and quiet and good people are what you are looking for I highly recommend Cross Creek. The 4 stars is only due to the gravel road so if the town/county would pave it then it is a 5 in my book. Thank you to Steve, Shelly, and Kelly for making our stay wonderful.
