Nice to be by the trail for walking the dog, but the highway is somewhat noisy and the wifi was - well shouldn't be listed that there is wifi.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. Of coarse during the the day the highway will be noisy. During the night the highway gets quiet. We are in a tourist town. I love pets. I hope you were one that cleaned up after them. This year was horrible . Not sure when you stayed with us , but a new wi fi was put in late July. You know how it has been getting shipped..... So there you go.. did you say something to Lee? Thanks again!

The host, Lee, was wonderful and gave us GREAT recommendations for sights to see while there. The campground was well kept and clean too. The owner was very friendly as well and thanked us for staying. We have a 42 ft rig and it was easy to get in/out. Great trails right behind the property and plenty of space back there to walk the dogs.

This RV stop was the best. Rita and Lee were great. Beautiful site. FHU. Location could not have been better. Close to all major sites. Would recommend this RV park to my best friend.

This was a great place. Plenty of room, yet a small RV park. We will stay again when we are in the area.

12 sites, 4 pull thru in the middle which are large and good, 4 backin which are the most quiet and 4 by the road which have more noise. All full hookup. Clean safe and right on a hiking, bike trail. Overall good campgd

Easy in, easy out. Rita and Lee awesome hosts. Only 10 spots so book well ahead. Close to town for shopping, dining, groceries, gas, etc. Mt. Rushmore, Custer National Park (see hundreds of bison) close by.

Campground Response

Thank you. We have 13 spots though. Loved having you. So glad you enjoyed.

Beautiful RV park located close to the Black Hills/Custer attractions. Park management goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. No bath facilities so make sure you have what you need.

Campground Response

Thank you! It was great having your family and dogs here!

It wouldn't allow me to leave zero stars....that is my true rating. The description of this campground does NOT state that they do not have showers or bathrooms. I read through it several times. I did eventually find it under "rules". Not having facilities is NOT a rule; that is an amenity that would be included under the description. I called to try to get a refund due to the lack of facilities and was refused; which was fine. We found a much better option close by in the area. However the woman on the phone was beyond rude and argumentative. DO NOT waste your time with Creekside Mountain RV Park; no bathrooms or showers and a very rude staff.

Campground Response

Considering you did not call until 8pm to cancel your reservation the day you were scheduled to arrive does not qualify for a refund. Read our cancellation policy. It is not us that puts our amenities on the site. It is rover pass. You could have called anytime. No one was rude to you. It was you who wanted a refund when you didn't even come into the campground.

This is a small campground right outside of Hill City. The owner is super nice and would check on us to make sure everything was ok and we didn’t need anything. There is a nice rails to trails just behind the campground. The park itself doesn’t have any amenities but we didn’t need them. We stayed here because it is centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit. We would definitely stay here again.

Don’t stay here! We arrived having booked in good faith to be told there were no restroom facilities. We were forced to rebook elsewhere and received no apology and were refused a refund. Since then the hosts have updated their website advising they have no facilities but clearly feel no need to compensate use for a wasted booking

Campground Response

Read our cancellation policy! Thank you.

Beautiful campgrounds surrounded by some of the most lovely Black Hills scenery. Loved the creek, so peaceful there & located perfectly to Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Stugis, Custer Park, Hot Springs, lots of hiking areas. The owner is a wonderful woman, Rita is so helpful & caring for all who are staying with her. We made a friend for life. Miss being there so much. Definitely will be returning many times.

Campground Response

Thank you. Enjoyed having you!

Very nice, small RV park. The people here couldn't be nicer. They told us the best routes to see the sights and answered any question we or any one else there had. We will stay there again.

We had a wonderful time at Creekside Mountain RV Park. A great place to park and see the sites. Very convenient to Sturgis, Deadwood, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. Rita is wonderful and the place is maintained beautifully. Backs right up to the Mickelson Trail with access to walk or ride your bike.

Very small tight spaces no room for bbqing, no fire pits, or restrooms, showers or laundry room the owner rides around on a cart & is not so nice. Not a welcoming RV camp. We spent 4 nights there, very expensive for so little. I was so glad to leave. The day before we left, I hurt my ankle, as I was walking up to the trash bin to dump my dogs poo, without another soul around, before I had a chance to leash my dogs up, here comes the owner on her cart (not caring that I was limping) she talked so rudely saying leash up your dogs, she glared at me & drove off on her cart. What a killjoy sour attitude to paying customers that are already over paying for basically no amenities & on top of that a owner who stomps out your vacation fun, never will I ever stay there again. We paid too much for that kind of abusr

Campground Response

Wow! For someone who came in a day early and left a nasty message on my answering machine because they wanted to be parked due to their not knowing their check in date. You made the reservation saying 3 dogs not 5. Also signed the rules . Dogs will be leashed. Back behind the campground is ok. Sorry you feel the way you do. I dont advertise amenities. As big as you are you should have all you need.My prices are decent. For what you get. And fires are not allowed during high fire index! I do have portables. You sound like you are not a happy person! You sure didn't think like that the day before. Only til I told you to leash your dogs. Not fair to other campers. Thank you and have a good day !

This was by far the best campground we have ever stayed at. Well situated in the heart of the Black Hills. Rita, the owner, was an exceptional hostess. She made us feel at home. Very clean and we'll kept. My husband and myself will have no problem recommending Creekside to others.

This campground was situated perfectly to see all the major sites in the area. Very clean and well kept. Small and very quiet which was surprising since it’s on a busy road but the road quieted down significantly at night so not trouble sleeping at all. Rita the owner is exceptionally nice. She takes the time to personally greet all her guests at their campsite with a map of the area and explains where things are and makes suggestions for good places to eat which we found very helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.
