Absolutely gem of a place to stay. We took a trip with our 4 year old twins to cut down a Christmas Tree. Drove up and arrived about 5 in the afternoon. Barbara checked us in and little did we know we would build a relationship with her and her husband George. We checked in to our room and then went back to bar/restaurant for dinner with our twins. I had the pork chop which was delicious, wife had chicken fried steak and the twins had chicken nuggets. Food was amazing. We then hung out until 8 pm when they closed because they made it a family atmosphere to hang out. We played pool and did Karaoke while our 4 year olds laid in front of the wood stove and watched TV. The next morning we ate breakfast and again George and Barbara were just amazing to talk to. We were sad that we had to leave and come home. They made us feel at home for sure. We will be back often and are looking forward to seeing the awesome staff again. Thanks again guys we absolutely will tell everyone about you. See you soon. I can go on and on with the generous hospitality. AAAMMMAAZZZINNNGGG

We stayed for a quick weekend get away and found the campground needed a little tlc. We had lunch in the cafe and enjoyed some conversation with the owners George and Barbara . Not only were they great to talk to the food was outstanding. We will definitely be going back again.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. This spring we will be working on each campsite individually to give them the care they need and to make each site perfect.

Great place! Easy in and easy out! Excellent Chef Salad in the Wonderful Bar/Restaruant! George and Barbara super helpful and nice! It’s a great place to get a great nights sleep! Shocking the Wifi was great! No tv except inside Bar/Clubhouse! Great laundry! Super clean and nice folks. Only complaint: low water pressure! My hot water heater requires a higher water pressure for showers in the rig!!! George explained they are on a well and he is going to work on this issue this fall! Great place safe and secure!! FUN!!!!

Delicious food! Good drinks. Everyone is so friendly and laid back. Great for any age - kids to seniors. Quiet RV park - no trees but heck you're in the desert. Had a great time and met everyone who came in to eat or drink.

Had a great time. George and Barbara are great host. Food is good, beer is cold. Great location for basically all outdoor activities. You can leave right from your camp in your 4 wheeler, side x side, quad, bike. Close enough from Reno - Sparks, Carson City, Minden and Gardnerville for a weekend getaway. Definitely will be going back.

What a gem in the middle of the desert! Clean, easy to access accommodations made our quick weekend trip a breeze. Everything we had on the menu in the bar was delicious! Killer burgers, appetizers, and cold beer after a long day of scouting were just what the doctor ordered. A hearty breakfast of chicken fried steak sent us on our way with full bellies and smiling faces. We will be back soon!

We planned on staying the night to check out the RV camping amenities and enjoy the all you can eat Fish & Chip dinner. We totally enjoyed both. The owners and staff were awesome and we enjoyed swapping stories with the regulars. We definitely will be back.

We stayed at Cold Springs in our 39' 5th wheel and had plenty of room for our slides and tow vehicle. The food at the restaurant is delicious with the bar having great bartenders and wait staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and can't wait to go back. A wonderful retreat along "the loniest highway in the US".

Campground Response
