We booked this campsite to be close to Chimney Rock and to see the night lighting of Chimney Rock. It did not disappoint, and we had a great one-night stay at the campground. We had a question for the campground host and when we called him, he was very helpful.

The price was right for what you get. Beautiful view, day and night, of Chimney Rock. Some train noise but it goes away after dark. I would stay there again.

Ryan Armstrong

I’ve stayed here twice in the last couple of months and really enjoy it. The view is incredible. The owners are very kind people. Cool little store in the office and the ice cream is delicious!

Cindy Minor

Spent the night there on the way home from Wyoming. It was convenient (right on our route), quiet, and clean. A bonus was Chimney Rock illuminated at night! Would stay there again.

Carol Hallenbeck

It may have been fine in season. We were not made aware that although the shop was closed so were the bathrooms. And it should be also noted the trains go by every 1/2 hour and your trailer will shake.

Campground Response

When you made your reservation on line you must have missed the notice on the two websites you were at that the restrooms and shower were closed during your planned stay.

John Farquhar

Facilities were closed. Water had high nitrate warning. Still had utilities.

Campground Response

Like most people you did not completely read the notices or you would have known the facilities were closed in the off season. Very common in farming communities is a nitrate problem. Our nitrates are 1.5 parts per MILLION over the State of Nebraska limit, if you had requested drinking water we would have provided it.

Great little spot for overnight heading to or from the Blackhills. Joe the owner is great and SO helpful.

Lyle Wiist

We had an over night stay here and the scenery was breath taking. The Chimney Tower was lit up later in the evening and was well worth the stop. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The hook up was easy and just what we needed for our time spent there. We met many new friends and enjoyed the hike to Chimney Rock

John Munoz

The campground is just that a campground with full hook-ups BUT, it has a wonderful feel of camping out in the frontier. The staff are all very friendly and the outpost they run is exactly that, an oasis.

Cheryl Bonin

Great place to stop for a night! Incredible views!

Paul Sedersten

Great camp host.

Sally Wehrley

This is a no frills park, but still we really enjoyed our time there. The views of Chimney Rock are fantastic and they light it up at night. We also went to Scott's Bluff National Monument. The prices are reasonable and the owner Joe is very friendly. We would gladly stay again if we find ourselves back in this area.

Ryan Armstrong

Great little campground! Owners are very friendly and they have a very unique little store. Love the ice cream!! I will definitely stay with them again.

John Doe

Easy access, nice owners, good Merch, tasty ice cream, decent price, great scenery

John McKinley

Loved this place!! After two months on the road it was a pleasure to have a nice long spot with an amazing view of Chimney Rock. Owners were very accommodating and we had an interesting chat with them one afternoon. We will be back next trip west.

James Mcdonald

Richard Harrington

Very clean small RV park with amazing hosts sites are level and gravel. We had 50 amp with FHU. Very close to Chimney Rock (minutes).

Martinus Tomberg

Nice place. Very clean. The Light on the chimney rock in the evening is beautiful. Only one bathroom available during the night. No shade.

Mary Frederick

Although the park has no frills it is well maintained. The park is very quiet and very scenic. The staff is pleasant and helpful.

Mike Engle

We were supposed to stay two nights but only stayed one. No help was offered but that’s ok never made the choice to leave early. This campsite is just a basic stop. One shower/ bathroom. Store has limited hours with ice cream as main attraction. Other than a great view of Chimney Rock not much to offer here
