The Chief Ladiga Trail Campground is a semi-primitive and full service facility, that’s great for pitching your tent or parking your RV. You’ll have direct access to the Chief Ladiga Trail, Pinhoti Hiking Trail and the Terrapin Creek. And best of all, the entire valley is surrounded by the Talladega National Forest.

Onsite is the office and a general store that offers basic conveniences such as drinks, snacks, souvenirs and camping supplies. Nearby is a full service bathhouse with large tile showers, spacious stalls, hot & cold water, central heating and cooling, and 2 outside hose bibs for potable water. Also onsite, there is a gorgeous lodge for rent right at the creekside. It features 5 bedrooms, 3 ½ baths, two full kitchens (upstairs and downstairs), and a spacious porch and deck that offers great views of the whole valley. The Lodge is available for families, groups and special events.

The area offers campers plenty of trails for hiking, biking, climbing, swimming and fishing. This is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors in a valley full of wild adventure and all the comforts of home. Hope to see you soon!

We had a wonderful (albeit cold) tent camping experience at the Chief Ladiga Campground! Our family has been coming to ride the Chief Ladiga every fall since our oldest was 4 years old and this was our first time camping with friends at the campground. What a beautiful location! We will be back!

Beautiful campground on the river with excellent bathhouse. Easy access to the Chief Ladiga Trail. We will be returning for another stay!

I love camping in Alabama and every time I come through I spend at least 5 days at this campground. The grounds are clean and well-managed, and I especially love that there's a creek nearby and plenty of wide open spaces and little creatures scampering about. Really nice amenities, and quite a few shaded sites which I always appreciate. I normally go when it's pretty hot outside and it's always full so I'd suggest you book as early as you can to get a cooler spot. Will return for sure!

Campground Response

Thank you so much for your feedback, Davina. See you again soon!
