Sites numbered 1-4 are the daily/short-term sites available to book via this website.  Please contact us directly if you are interested in long term/annual sites.

Rend Lake is just minutes away - some of the best fishing in the Midwest area.

Bubba Too's Restaurant and Bar next door!  Great place to relax - Food, Drinks, Entertainment and Gaming!!! Please note: we are NOT the owners of the restaurant/bar.  Please address any concerns with that establishment directly.

Forgot something?!? NO WORRIES! Although the campground is surrounded by nature, Mount Vernon is only 15 mins away. You can head to Walmart, Dick's Sporting Goods, Dollar General, Aldi, Lowes/Menards, pretty much anything you need, you can find!

Campground Response

Keith Kenaston

Very nice place to stay. The host Wayne is nice and accommodating. Good food right next door.

Campground Response

Thank you for the kind words Keith! Hope to have you stop by again :)

Jo Anna Tarango

Was a nice park enjoyed my stay. However, my stay was related to work the music next door was a little loud I appreciated that it shut down early than later.

Campground Response

Thank you very much for your review! Unfortunately, we do not own the bar and can't control the music :( We try to make our Campers aware of how close the bar is in proximity to the campground via our website but understand not everyone sees our advertised photos. We're so sorry the music affected your stay but hope you come back to visit another time ;)

Todd Tapp

Nice place, quiet! Very nice to have good food right next door if you don’t feel like cooking. My only complaint would be our spots grass was high but that could be from all the rain lately. But would definitely go back.

Campground Response

Thank you so much for your review! The consistent rain has certainly affected our ability to keep the grass mowed. We appreciate your understanding and hope to see y'all again :)

Kristy Hill

Not happy have been trying to call the number on my reservation and left message and no one answers or returned my call. I had a family emergency and was trying to call to get my money back but of course no one answered or still yet has returned my call

Campground Response

We're so sorry you are having difficulty reaching us! We do not have any missed calls from the number listed on your reservation but you are welcome to call us at 701-500-0940 (the number listed on our site as well as in your welcome email). Additionally, please feel free to reach us via our listed email address if the phone continues to have issues.

Mike Petersen

Beautiful woodsy area. Wade, the Host, is a man of integrity.

Campground Response

Thank you for the kind words Mike! We hope to cross paths with you again!

Keith Kenaston

We have stayed at Bubba J's several times and have had a great experience every time. The spaces are big very easy to get in and out of. There is a bar/food place right next door that has good food, Hamburgers, pizza, wings and more. It is very nice local bar and we have never been woken up because they were to loud. We will be back.

Campground Response

Thank you for the feedback Keith! We are happy to hear you are repeat customers and plan to come again :)

Great place to stay if you dont plan on getting any sleep. Way too much noise from the bar.

Campground Response

We are so sorry to hear the noise from the bar was bothersome! That is a risk we unfortunately run being located next to them which is why we were sure to add a map to reflect the close proximity. I'll let the bar owner know of your rating as we are not under the same management despite the similar names :) Thank you for your feedback!

Gary Davis

It was run down. We did not stay at the campground! We continued down the road. It was far from rt 39 and hard to get to. We were not able to get our motor home into a pull through. Do not recommend!

Campground Response

Hello Gary, Could you please expand on why you were not able to get your motor home into a pull through site? I see your RV was reserved as 35 ft long and our pull through sites are 80 feet long. I would also love to know what gave you the impression it was run down, so we can attempt to improve that for future guests. Thank you for your feedback!

Michelle Headley

Great weekend camp spot. No cooking involved thanks to Bubba's kitchen

Campground Response

Thank you so much for your feedback Michelle! Hope to see you again :)

Michael Patton

We have stayed here a couple times and have been pleased. No frills just a nice quiet peaceful stay in the country. Restaurant / Bar right next store has excellent food, coldest beer around and friendly staff. The owner Wade is easily accessible and is a real friendly guy.

Campground Response

Thank you so much Michael! We pride ourselves on treating our guests like family!

Mary Stalnaker

Friendly spacious and clean. Favorite type of campground. And Bubba too was a delicious delight. Try the pizza!

Campground Response

Thank you Mary!! Having Bubba's Too next door really is a treat! Hope to see you again :)

Donna Headley

very comfortable camp, good food, cold beer

Campground Response

Thank you Donna :)

Carl Merat

Very rustic campground with little or no road signage. No place to check in and never saw or heard from any staff while on site for an overnight. Called a number to confirm check in and had to ask if was Bubba J phone connection. Utilities were in good shape and folks at bar friendly enough. A little loud but not terrible. Drive country roads a few miles to get to and from interstate but roads were decent.

Campground Response

Hello Carl, first we hope you enjoyed your stay at Bubba Js. This is a small family owned and operated business therefore, we do not have permanent staff on site. Please let us know if there are any suggestions you may have to make our campground better for future guests. -Wade G.

Shannon Schultz

We had a relaxing weekend here overall. The host was very nice. The park has a bathroom and that’s pretty much it besides the full hookups so if you’re looking for a park with amenities this is not the one for you. Very bare bones camping. Oh and bring your own firewood or chainsaw because you have to forage for it.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review Shannon :) We will update our page to reflect to bring your own firewood.

Loren Laughlin

Nice, peaceful RV park in a very small rural town. The RV park is next to a bar with great food with awesome pizza and wings and is called “Bubbas Too” - owned by different owners. It is just about 50 ft or so away. Please note: There are no showers at the RV park and there were no mirrors in the bathrooms. If going north on 57, it is a bit of a drive off the freeway to get there. Much easier to get back on the freeway going north leaving from a different direction (west of the park). The owner of Bubba J’s is nice and very accommodating.

Campground Response

Hi Loren! Thank you for your review! We've updated the page to reflect that we do not have showers and have added mirrors to our bathrooms:) We hope you come back to see us!

Jeff Meinsma

We stayed at Bubba J's on way to Nashville and on way back. Great place!!! And having Bubba J's Too right next door was a bonus. Friendly place and great pizza!

Campground Response

Jeff, we are glad you enjoyed your stay!

Gretchen Bourgeois

Amazing experience! We can not wait to go back and hope it’s more than just an overnight. The site is beautiful and very well maintained. The owner is an absolute gem. He truly went above and beyond. See you again soon!

Thank you for a nice nature setting stay, convenient restaurant right near Park was great! Great food and a drink after a long drive!

Ray Stockton

Great Hospitality and great people!! We really enjoy this place. The bar next door serves great food. Really close to Rend Lake and lots to do in the area. Nice clean rest rooms and spacious drive thru camp sites. Could not ask for a better place to camp. Already booked Memorial Day weekend.

Donna Headley

We enjoy camping here. Comfortable and entertained.

Our stay was great!!!! Les was helpful in every way n friendly. Pull through sites, plenty of room to motivate RV w/ trailer. Definitely will camp again 😊

Linda Scott
