Big Rock Creek is a 980 acre estate so this map just shows the campground area and the area around the campground. The Clubhouse, Family Cabin and Elroys are cabins rented out to guests. The Barn is a public space unless we have a private event happening.

St. Croix Falls Wisconsin is just across the river from Taylors Falls, MN and about 45 minutes from Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. If you've been to the area before you know the St. Croix river is an amazing attraction to the area and brings people back! The landscape and topography at Big Rock Creek in St. Croix Falls is amazing! Big Beautiful bluffs and 200 year old White Oak trees litter the property and the St. Croix river area! Not to mention all of the amazing lakes in the area such as Balsam Lake, Wappogassett, Turtle Lake, Deer Lake and many, many more!

The place is amazing, but they need to take a look cleaning up around the camp sites someone must have left some drugs in the grass and our dog got into it had to spend the day in a emergency vet not cheap.

My family and myself stayed at Big rock creek for a week. Very clean, staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful. This place is so magical. We enjoyed finding out about the rich history on this property. We took rides on the trails, and listened to the creek, birds singing, and watching the wild life as it passed by so closely. We will definitely be staying here a ton. If you are a avid outdoors man or women this is the place for you. Big rock creek is a place that is full of adventure, fun, and peace. It has a family oriented atmosphere. This is a slice of heaven on earth. A must check out place.

We had such an incredible time staying at big rock creek this past weekend! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We toured the wedding venue and it is breathtaking! Our kids had a blast with cow yoga and playing on the playgrounds and in the lake! They have done so well dealing with mosquitoes we only encountered a couple the whole weekend!!! We absolutely loved the sauna and cold plunge! 10/10 recommend this place and we will absolutely be back!!!

BRC NEVER DISAPPOINTS!!! We enjoyed the live music and meat raffle on Friday. Who could complain about a Bloody Mary bar on Saturday morning (or Screwdrivers )The lights were beautiful ( Christmas lights in June are much better than December!!! ) Rented the Yellow Banana and cruised around the property, super fun! The staff are more than accommodating. Friendly, knowledgeable, punctual and very funny. Thanks BRC for a wonderful second stay. Maybe see you this winter but for sure next summer!

Beautiful place. Our first time here. We camped in the campground area. The site was uneven surrounding our camper but this may be due to a wet spring. We enjoyed the Friday night food truck and entertainment, hiking, water biking, kayaking and visiting the cows and goats. This resort offers many amenities and rental activities. As the camping fees are on the higher end, I would suggest offering these rental activities at more reasonable rates which would increase their usage and thus the resort's income. The resort's income would also increase by having the gift shop open. We had to ask about the wifi so I suggest including this on all the information given at checkin. Also, we walked the 3- mile loop. If you include the uphill walk to the cabin in the woods/scenic overlook, the walk is 5.5 miles (you may want to note the length and difficulty of this added walking option). Personnel and guests were all friendly.

Was just ok. Was told it was a packed weekend when we drove in. Hardly anyone there, no food or bar available as advertised. Dogs could not walk down on gravel road had to stay in a grassy area and our dog was loaded with ticks. Luckily she is on a flea and tick preventative. People next to us did not pick up dog poop. There was a prom at the campground Saturday night and we weren’t notified.

I really have no complaints about the accommodations. We had the lakeside site which was so peaceful. Only thing I would say is we could not find an on-site attendant the few times we tried. They have a QR code you scan to order or rent different things but the cell reception is very spotty. They had guest wifi but it did not work most of the time we were there. Overall it was a great fall weekend camping. Lots of hiking on-site and wildlife.

My family and I had such a great weekend at Big Rock Creek. We wished we could have stayed longer. It was a very quiet weekend, so not much activity but still plenty for the kids to do and adults to take it easy. Everyone of the staff that we came in contact with were amazing and we will definitely be making Big Rock Creek a yearly trip. Only hard part for us is no sewer hook ups yet or dump station. Family of 5, and it was a benefit being only a short walk to the rest rooms.

We had a family emergency and weren't able to stay at Big Rock. However, when we explained our situation to them, they handled it in a very fair and understanding way. Makes the hard times a little better when people show compassion.

Beautiful place. Lots of great trails, friendly staff, and fun activities for kids. Really enjoyed our visit. Only reason I didn't rate five stars is due to no septic or dump station located on the property. There are two dump stations nearby, but it is a little inconvenient.

Campground Response

Thank you Chris! Dump Station coming next year!

We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in site 3. We had a beautiful view of the pond. My husband named it On Golden Pond. We saw Doe's with fawn every morning and night. There were new gems found everyday. Our favorite was renting a golf cart and found so many beautiful area's. That day was hot and humid. All of a sudden we smelt the lotus flower. Then came apon the lotus pond. It was absolutely beautiful. We will diffidently be coming back. I've told my family & friends about our stay.

Campground Response

Thank you Doug! We really appreciate you spreading the word!
