Big Oak River Camp

(1) Review

32598 State Highway 55, Camp Wood, TX, 78833

Big Oak River Camp offers a relaxed, welcoming environment to RVers and tenters looking to explore the Texas Hill Country. Just at the banks of the Nueces River, campers can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, fishing, boating, snorkeling and river tubing. There's also several excellent hiking and biking spots, and bow hunters flock there each year for a great hunting opportunity. While visiting many campers make sure to dine in at riverfront and downtown restaurants, attend local rodeos, lay day and stargaze at night, visit the Lake Nueces Park, sunbath, shop at local antique and tourist shops and visit local art galleries. Amenities at the park include: cabin rentals, fire rings and grills, sewerage, water and electrical hookups. Hope to see you soon!

This is one of my favorite campsites! I simply adore this place as in my mind this embodies what camping is. The log cabins, the body of water where you can spend hours at, the many camp sites to choose from and also at a very great price. Also the staff is very friendly! The whole campground has a great rustic feel that I feel is something I look for in a campsite. It’s a place to bring the family and spend quality time on what everyone enjoys. This place had a lot to offer and we were never bored. I know we will be definitely having this place in mind when we plan our next trip out. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
