Back-in sites small. Not enough room to park your vehicle. Camp host (Scott), was the best we have seen in years! Very knowledgeable and helpful.

Good campground for our purposes of travelling and touring through the USA. We stayed for two nights in mid May, during shoulder season, so there were only two total RV's in the entire campground. Very quiet. Positives: - Very large pull through sites for big rigs. Easy in and out of the park as well as each site is easily accessible. - Very accomodating and friendly staff/owners, ensured we were comfortable and didn't need anything during our stay. Areas for Improvement: - Water pressure was very low, (below 15 lbs), intermittently. With only two people in the park, this is an annoyance when showering and could become a bigger issue during peak season when park is full. - Wifi worked OK, however we experienced several challenges when using Facetime. Again not a big deal when only 2 people in the park, but would be a challenge when more RV's. Suggest not offering free Wifi if it will not accomodate 'todays usage' needs of RV'ers and full timers. - Price was a bit 'Hi', ($55/night) considering the time of year we were staying. I would suggest a 'shoulder season' price of $45/night in order to draw in more touring RV'ers in the off season.

Campground Response

Thank you for the comments. We took them seriously and adjusted everything. Prices lowered. Internet speed was doubled. Water pressure appears to be good now with a full park. We hope you will consider us again if you come through South Fork in your travels.

Everything about the place was excellent and the people were wonderful

Tight spaces. If you have slides, no room at all for the small picnic table that was falling apart. Low water pressure

This is a great park! The location is great - central to lots of trails and other sites in southern Colorado. All of the people in the park, including the owners, were super friendly. Many people we met go there every year! We made reservations to return next summer before we left. Can't wait to do it again, and plan to stay until the Aspens start changing colors.

—Great hosts, super friendly and helpful! —Horrible, well no WiFi....plenty to do in South Fork so not a huge loss but if a campground is going to advertise WiFi they should have it. If we had a password, we could have used the RV Park’s WiFi next door, it had a strong signal. —Dog area would be nice. —shower area for guys was small. —good location, central to 149 and 160. —based on all the above the price was good.

We have stayed in the Cabin at Alpine Ridge several times and it's always been a great experience. The cabin is comfortable, clean, well appointed and centrally located to all our favorite spots. The only downside is that it isn't pet friendly and we have a small dog. Highly recommend.
