The RV Park and Campground on Mayfield Ranch is located in the beautiful Texas town of Ozona and is a great spot for a fun southern escape. Campers can look forward to a number of great attractions just beyond the campground such as the Fort Lancaster State Historic Site, Pecos River High Bridge, the enchanting Sonora Caverns and the Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site. There's also the Crockett County Museum, Ozona Mercantile, the Emerald House, the davy Crockett Monument, the Escondido Draw Recreational Area for great hiking, biking and off-roading and the Lancaster Hill Scenic Drive and Observation Point. And of course, there's tons of great restaurants, bars and historical sites for visitors to enjoy. Hope to see you soon!

This place has so much to do it I don’t see how anyone can get bored! The staff were all around great and even welcmoned us like family. The sites were spacious and there was more then enough room for my big rig. The amenities we got gace us everything we needed to a great camping time. The activities were the icing on the top as there were so many great things to do with the entire family! I personally enjoyed all the wonderful history that surrounded the park and the beautiful sights. Overall this was a really nice park at a reasonable price. I can’t wait to get to schedule another camping trip here! - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

This campground is without a doubt the most enjoyable place we've been, ever, when it comes to a most friendly and honest host, (W.T. Mayfield). Betty & I (Gus) like the simple things about camping with an RV. We came prepared to enjoy the exploring and friendly atmosphere of this remote, quiet, country ranch setting. It's worth noting that a 4WD vehicle is NOT necessary to reach the hook-ups. It's an easy drive to Ozona to the north, or, Del Rio/Comstock area to the South, along Texas 163, a really good highway. We have two dogs which were welcome at the ranch and they enjoyed not having to be on a leash all the time we were there. There's wildlife galore on the ranch and roads that will take you to even more remote areas to enjoy the West Texas landscape. W.T. drove us around some of the places on the ranch to show points of interest, such as the deep holes in the bedrock, where indians ground their seeds into flour. Lots of history is everywhere. The nights are outstanding!! There's no denying that we will be returning to this ranch. Gus & Betty LaWare La Vernia, TX

My husband and I found this campground while internet surfing and decided to spend 2 nights there on our way to Lajitas/Big Bend. Mr. Mayfield gave us great directions and met us at the gate with our 25ft.bumper-pull RV. What a beautiful place! We had a great secluded spot on top of a vista that allowed for magnificent star gazing at night. It's not a bad drive to Seminole Canyon and only about 40-45 minutes south of Ozona. The ranch is not fancy but it is isolated and sacred. I found ancient artifacts on the property and was able to see a few arrowheads that Mr. Mayfield had collected. He is a very hospitable gentleman and a kind soul! You WILL need a four wheel drive truck to pull an RV to one of the full hook up sites but if you're looking to camp without hookups you would not need 4wheel drive capacity. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and visit there and will be returning! Thank you WT!!! Melissa and Doug K. San Marcos, Tx
