The Pedernales Falls State Park is located in the beautiful Johnson City, Texas. Present at the Pedernales Falls State Park is the Pedernales river that flows over and around huge slabs of limestone, with the gushing sound of water creating a tranquil atmosphere.   Activities and Amenities: While there, there are so many things that you could do. Here at Pedernales Falls State Park, you can camp, go hiking or mountain biking, have a picnic, geocache or bird watch and ride horses. On the river, you can swim, wade, tube or even fish! The Blanco State Park is located in the beautiful town of Blanco, and is a great spot for an authentic Texas vacation. This small park hugs a one-mile stretch of the river. On the water, campers can swim, fish, paddle or boat, and on land, there's plenty of space to picnic, hike, camp, watch for wildlife, and geocache. For the group-travelers, there's a picnic pavilion for socials, group games and meals. Campers can also look forward to a number of nearby attractions such as the Old Blanco County Court, Market Days held on the 3rd Saturday of each month and the Willow City Loop which is a breathtaking spot that's perfect for scenic drives, jogging, dog walking, picnicking and stargazing or sunset viewing.
