Onsite, travelers can expect fishing at a stocked lake, and is close to the San Jacinto Monument. Campers can look forward to a number of nearby water-related activities at places like the gorgeous pond at the Bay Town Nature Center, Pirates Bay Waterpark, and there's also quiet a few public parks like the Roseland, Allenbrooks and Jenkins Parks. The Baytown Historical Museum is a camper favorite, as is Goose Creek Park. There's also a long list of excellent restaurants and picnic areas, and many out-of-town travelers are sure to pause at dusk with a small snack to enjoy the sunset and stargazing. The San Jacinto Monument (tallest in the USA) & Battleship Texas, were about a half hour away. Other attractions visited within an hour of the campground include: The Beer House, The Orange Show, Smither Park Folk Art, Mount Rush Hour, Lighthouse Water Tower, 2/5th White House, and the National Museum of Funeral History.
