The Colbert County Alloys Park Campground is located on Wilson Lake, and offers RV, motor home and camper parking, as well as tent sites for primitive camping. The campground also provides electricity, water, sewerage, dump station, and boat ramp for year round enjoyment. Newly added is a large, lit pavilion with picnic areas and tables, showers and restrooms. They allow mostly back-in parking with one pull-thru, have big rig access, 30/50 amp connections and WIFI. For fun, there’s a kid friendly playground nearby, boating on Red Bay, nature trails and the park is within walking distance of a Robert Trent Jones golf course. Nearby, you can visit Helen Keller’s birthplace or check out the Muscle Sholes Sound Studios, and for dinner, you can’t beat Smoking on the Blvd where they serve outstanding BBQ chicken and ribs.
