The town is popular for its excellent local attractions, museums and historic sites, so make sure to carve out some time to visit Polson. Campers can look forward to the National Bison Range and Glacier National Park nearby where they can enjoy breathtaking mountain views, hiking and mountain biking. There's also a thriving ecosystem surrounding the campground, so visitors can expect to see not only tall, healthy fir and pine trees, but also elk, deer and moose. Most campers also take advantage of the neighboring Flathead Lake for touring, cruising and trout fishing, so be sure to set aside plenty of time for that. Local dining and entertainment is also excellent, so if you're hoping for a taste of local culture, visit the various restaurants and eateries around town.
