At an elevation of over 3,700 feet, visitors can look forward to great weather and scenic views of the Flathead National Forest. Along with the spectacular scenery, the immediate area offers visitors an unlimited array of outdoor activities ranging from fishing and swimming at the nearby Swan Lake, to watching the migratory waterfowl at the wildlife area. Hunting is also popular not far from the lookout. Shooting within 150 yards of the lookout or from the road is not allowed. A variety of hiking and mountain biking trails can be found in the area.    

The Sylvia Lake Campground is a primitive site, with plenty of excellent mountain-scapes over the sea and sky. Look forward to lake activities such as trout fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, water skiing and fishing. There's also plenty of  gorgeous land for all of your hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding needs. Picnicking is also popular at this site, and a little known treat is stargazing. The Summit Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
