Folks on the Klamath River  would say our place is the "real deal", We work hard and it shows. When you stay at the "Big Foot" you'll get a great value for your vacation dollar.  First off, let me tell you. We just love the place. We work at our family owned business everyday. The gardens are filled with roses, fruit, and shade trees.  Located right in the center of the thriving metropolis of Happy Camp. (We're not a metropolis . Don't even have a stop light. Just love saying "thriving metropolis." )   Our guests love the convenience of being within walking distance from the Pizza House, Partners Deli, Double JJ Liquor Store and Napa Auto Store.  The Kingfisher Market is a well stocked gem located right across the street.  Walk over and get what you want to make for dinner in our kitchenettes. Big city ad agencies refer to staying at the Big Foot RV Park & Cabins as  "Authentic ". Authentic  means : we've been here awhile and don't plan on going anywhere.  We are Happy Campers. We've got stories to tell. You will too.  Once folks come to the "Big Foot" they return year after year. "Why?"  Because we are serving up comfortable, down river hospitality.

Camp Trinidad RV Resort

From $70.00 USD

Per Night
Trinidad, California
93.8 mi from City Center

The Camp Trinidad Story For over 50 years, this little slice of land above the ocean was known as Sounds of the Sea RV Park and Cabins—a quiet fishing RV park tucked in the redwoods, where folks came to slow down and soak up the beauty of the North Coast. It sat that way for decades. Quiet. Simple. Kind of forgotten. In October 2024, we—Taylor and Lisa Lefevre—bought it. We were both born and raised here on the North Coast, and this place has always meant something to us. We saw the bones of something special, something worth bringing back to life—not just for ourselves, but for the community we love. With the kids in the backseat and surfboards strapped to the truck, we’ve spent the past year reimagining what this park could be. What was once seasonal and sleepy is now open year-round—a place for families, travel nurses, road-trippers, and folks just looking to breathe a little deeper. We renamed it Camp Trinidad RV Resort—a name that honors both the town and the spirit we’re building here. This isn’t just an RV park anymore. It’s a place to connect, unwind, and feel welcome—whether you’re here for one night or nine months. We’re still a work in progress, and that’s part of the charm. But every day we’re out here clearing brush, fixing things up, adding little touches, and building something rooted in heart and hospitality. Thanks for stopping by. We’re so glad you’re here and hope you love it as much as we do.
