Set in pine and oak and at a high elevation, travelers can look forward to cool temperatures and birders especially can look expect a thriving ecosystem of birds and wildlife. Campers can also look forward to a quiet desert setting filled with fresh air and wide open skies for sunset viewing and stargazing. The Keiller Park and Recreation is a well-known spot for nature enthusiasts to explore, hiking and bike. The Fort Bowie Historical Site, Rex Allen Museum and Chiricahua Regional Museum are also popular spots for cultural and historical exploration. And of course, many head to the Coronado Vineyards and Apple Annie's Orchard to enjoy the fruits of the land.

The City of Rocks State Park gets its name from the incredible volcanic rock formations found here. The park is a mile from the scenic Chihuahuan Desert Region of southwest New Mexico, and stands at an elevation of 5,200 feet. The geological formation is made up of large, sculpted rock columns and pinnacles rising as high as 40 feet, and separated by paths or lanes resembling streets. After years of natural erosion, the formations have an almost other-worldly appearance, filling the landscape like towers against the beautiful New Mexico sky. 

The Herb Martyr Campground is located in the beautiful Coronado National Forest and is a great place for an authentic outdoor adventure. Onsite, there's also a diverse and breathtaking terrain, perfect for exploring and scenic viewing. Travelers can also look forward to local landmarks like the Chiricahua National Monument, Saguaro National Park and the Tumacacori National Historic Park. Among these parks and the Grand Canyon, campers can enjoy some of the southwest's most iconic scenes and geological formations, as well as the excellent river rafting, climbing, hiking and mountain biking that accompanies these sites. There's also historical treasures nearby including the Cases Grande Ruins National Monument Fort Bowie National Historic Site and the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. For even more Arizona fun, the Kartchner Caverns and San Pedro National Riparian Conservatory Area are also relatively close by.

Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area is a campground located on 1500 N Fool Hollow Lake in Show Low, AZ. The site includes laundry facilities. The campground is open all year.
