The Alamo Lake State Park is located in the town of Wenden and is a great spot for a fun outdoor adventure. Half of the Forest lies east of Prescott and takes in the Black Hills, Mingus Mountain, Black Mesa and the headwaters of the Verde River and enjoys a Sonoran Desert landscape and warm atmosphere.
