Higgins Ferry Park is the place to be if you love to fish and immerse yourself in an untouched natural terrain. Higgins Ferry is a beautiful county park right in the heart of Alabama, and located just ten miles east of Clanton, which is part of the Coosa River and a premier fishing location for Bass, Crappie, and Catfish. Anglers hold an annual championship right on the docks, so visitors can look forward to that!  Higgins Ferry offers a public boat launch, a pavilion, swimming area, as well as RV and tent camping. The campground also offers 28 full hook-up sites. There’s also a full bathhouse with showers included, and for the kids, there’s a playground area, and a day use area where people can cook out and enjoy the beauty of Lake Mitchell. Ya Ya's Lake Seminole RV Park is a small, quiet, wooded RV Park that's perfect for a peaceful getaway. The park features full hookup RV spaces with both 30 and 50 amp electricity available with shower and laundry facilities for guests. The park is just 2 minutes from Lake Seminole and 5 minutes from the Apalachicola river making it an ideal spot to stay and enjoy fishing, boating, canoeing, tubing, and swimming. There are also local fishing guides in the area who can take you out and provide the equipment. There is a five dollar charge per person/per night for parties over four. This applies to all reservations, even if you are eligible for discounts for Passport America, Veteran, and Law Enforcement discounts. We do not recognize any other discounts but the three aformentioned. We are privately owned business. Thank you. This policy has been in effect for a period of Three years.
