The Deer Crossing RV Park is located in San Patricio New Mexico and only 14 miles of Ruidoso. The South Fork Campground is located in the Lincoln National Forest near Ruidoso, New Mexico. One of the most popular sites in the Smokey Bear District, this campground is near Bonito Lake, which means campers can enjoy great fishing, swimming and other water sports. Access to the White Mountain Wilderness Area can be found immediately at the south end of the Campground, so get ready for beautiful hiking and biking trails, and the opportunity to interact with local wildlife. A famous landmark in the Smokey Bear Ranger District, Monjeau Lookout was constructed as part of the Civilian Conservation Corps project. The site is perfect for the adventure lover with its dirt surfaces and steep, rocky steps steeped in history. There's so much of Alto to see around the lookout, creating a stellar environment for nature viewing and backpacking.
