For a home base during your trip to Roswell New Mexico, consider the Town and Country RV park. In close proximity to a number of great attractions, you can visit the Roswell Museum and Art Center, Roswell UFO Museum, Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge and Roswell Symphony Orchestra. Discover the beauty, history and mystery surrounding this town, as well as the rich culinary environment. The Long Point Campground is a primitive campsite right next to the Elephant Butte Lake State Park, and is one of the park's most picturesque sites. Settle right on the lake's banks for quiet, simple camping, and be sure to take advantage of the lake and all there is to do like swimming, water skiing, fishing and canoeing. The area is also prime for exploring so go out for a long hike or bike ride, and return in time to watch a spectacular sunset over the lake surface. On that note, be sure to do some stargazing while you're at this park; with clear, open skies, the light show is spectacular!

The Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort is located in Sierra County, New Mexico and is famous for its acres and acres of untouched natural terrain and spectacular sights. Filled with biodiversity, the area is an oasis of culture, fauna and flora, and is just a mile from the Elephant Butte Lake State Park. Enjoy hiking, biking and a plethora of water sports popular during the summer time. Campers especially love the excellent fishing at the lake; catch walleye, blue fish, bluegill, crappie and trout. Visitors can also look forward to nearby art galleries, tours of ghost towns, gold panning, tennis, ATV trails, golfing and Indian petroglyphs. 

Sunny Acres RV Park is located in Las Cruces, New Mexico and is popular for its close proximity to a number of local attractions such as: Historic Old Mesilla, the New Mexic Farm and Ranch Museum, Fort Selden State Monument, several wineries and the Las Cruces Farmers market. Visitors often use this park as a home base to visit cities such as Ruidoso, Hillsboro or to see the Carlsbad Caverns National Park.

The Mansano Mountains State Park is located in Mountainair, New Mexico and at an elevation of over 7,000 feet, it is known for its wonderfully cool temperatures and outdoor activities. Campers head there for the excellent set and interpretive trails for hiking and biking. The park associations also holds educational programs which is great for campers hoping to learn more about the wildlife and where to catch glimpses of the various birds that call the park home. The area is also perfect for sight seeing; look up at dawn or dusk to see the iconic New Mexico sky and pause in awe over those spectacular reds and oranges. 

Enchanted View RV is located in Elephant Butte, New Mexico, between Albuquerque and El Paso, Texas. As such, this park is the perfect destination for visitors wanting to visit these cities and enjoy a plethora of great attractions. Take day trips to small Texas towns or the bustling balloon city of Albuquerque, or remain at the park to enjoy hiking, sailing, skiing, museums, mineral springs, fishing, hunting and charming historic villages and ranches. The Riverbend Hot Springs Resort sits on the banks of the beautiful Rio Grande and has a great view of Turtleback Mountain. The Monticello RV Park located in Truth or Consequence, New Mexico is a great spot to relax, and enjoy a peaceful retreat away from life's busyness. Enjoy fishing, water skiing, kayaking, swimming or canoeing at the nearby lake or tour the beautiful, little city of Elephant Butte. The Ranch is located on the northern edge of the Chihuahuan Deset in Lakewood, New Mexico. The owners hold multiple great activities throughout the year such as spring events and parties, roundups, shows and celebrations surrounding various calendar holidays. In this gorgeous desert environment, visitors can look forward to wildlife viewing. Keep your eyes open for: the coachwhip snake, New Mexican whiptail lizard, cactus wren and tiger salamander. You can also look forward to cacti, shrubs, trees and forbs. This is an exquisite place with much to see and experience; you'll have a quiet and easy-going vacation!

Located just 14 miles southeast of Roswell, New Mexico is the Bottomless Lake campground. Enjoy an almost insane number of outdoor activities, so get your water-proof sunscreen out and packed. You can look forward to tons of fishing spots, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, cruising and even scuba diving. With an abundance of aquatic plants in the lake, the water looks greenish-blue and it's beautiful! Visitors also enjoy hiking the various trails, biking, unique sinkholes to explore. 

Escondida Lake Park is located in Socorro, New Mexico and is a beautiful natural oasis. At the lake, enjoy plenty of peaceful fishing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking, as well as gorgeous sunsets over the water's surface. Visitors can also look forward to open, spacious vistas for exploring and hiking, and be sure to visit the gem/science museum at the local college. The area also has excellent small town eateries that showcase the culinary skill and creativity of the residents. 

The Shady Corner RV Park is located in Williamsburg, New Mexico and is well-known for being a quiet and cozy getaway from all of the hustle and bustle of the larger cities of the southwest. Look forward to gorgeous desert plains edged by rising hills and mountains, and local conveniences like shops and gas stations. Truth or Consequence is also a relatively short drive away, and is a great spot for site seeing and enjoying cultural and historical attractions like the Geronimo Springs Museum. 

The South Monticello Campground is located right at the edge of the Elephant Butte Lake State Park and is a great spot for a number of great outdoor activities and attractions.  Enjoy stellar lakeside views and scenes that other campsites at the lake cannot and make sure to bring your camera to take pictures! Campers here can enjoy a plethora of great activities such as water skiing, fishing, swimming, boating, canoeing and paddle boarding, as well as enjoy local attractions in the city. Nearby is a visitor center (on Broadway) with tons of helpful guides so you can get the most out of your stay. There's also a museum for visitors to peruse and a ghost town nearby. Also be sure to look up at night to see the spectacular light show iconic of the southwest. 

The Cedar Cover RV Park is located in Elephant Butte, New Mexico, and is known for its iconic southwestern desert plains. Nearby are attractions such as the Truth or Consequence hot springs, county museum and of course Elephant Butte Lake State Park.
